I applied in July 2017. No further contact after May 2018 when they requested for PCCs 2nd time. Since then we have been sending proofs of continuity of relationship but no progress in getting grant so far.

I applied for my wife visa 309 in may 2017. Interview was done 23 may 2018 and since no hearing from them. I have been written them many emails. In every email they got the same reply CHECKS ARE NOT CLEARED YET.

    Hi All,

Allhamdulillah my wife got her visa today.

    We lodged online from Pakistan.

    DOL: 20 January 2018

    DOI: None

    DOG: 06 November 2018

We did not receive any generic email or interview. Direct grant email with the grace of God.

I would recommend everyone to keep uploading documents and evidence to your immi account. Based on our experience, it speeds up the process.

Thank you everyone for the wishes and prayers. We couldn't be more happier.

This forum has been really helpful. I hope everyone waiting gets their grants soon.

Congratulations mate. I applied for my wife 309 in Pakistan on 22nd May 2017. And i m still waiting.

I said after 1.5 years if its simple spouse visa 309 case. In your case you mentioned about your child too.

Mate child was born in January 2018. And all my child required documents were provided in a week. I 100% believe it is not that which is causing delay. According to immi it is the checks which are literally causing such a vast delay.

Someone said here usual timeline is 9-11 months for Pakistani spouses these days whereas my husband told me he met 2-3 Pakistani couples in Australia whose wife’s spouse visa recently came after 1.5 years precisely.

It has been more than 1.5 years for my wife 309 visa from Pakistan. It does not apply either. I m very worried.

Has anyone heard anything recently? Seems to have gone awefully quite in terms of grants here.

No bro. I have still been waiting since May 2017 for my wife n kid visa. Could you or anyone suggest me what to do in regard to such a horrible delay. I have been emailed them numerous times. More or less the same generic email all the times like application is under mandatory checks.

It was just my thought that people applied in 2017 get their visa now, those couples have already waited long enough. I mean to say people who applied earlier than us (jan 2018  applicants) get their application processed first.

I have been waiting patiently too since May 2017 for my wife 309 visa. Don't know what's going on. Departmental checks not cleared blah blah blah. Allah make mercy on us and everyone here.

Mate that’s terrible. Are you a citizen or on PR?

Have you contacted the department here in Australia? Maybe email or call them. I saw your earlier posts, you have a child you should be with your child and wife. Send a detailed email to the embassy explaining your situation  or sent a letter quoting your application reference number and explain you want to be with your family.

I don’t know what your personal circumstances are but have you considered going back to Pakistan for a few months while the process is sorted? I really hope you will hear A positive response on your application soon.

Mate i am citizen. I have been emailed them numerous times. All the times they come up with constant reply that relevant checks are not completed yet. Even after 17 months checks are still pending. I have a child who is 10 months old now. Please make prays everyone here that i get together with my family soon.

hey mates ,hope everyone is fine and smooth sailing with their 309's

just wanted some help with my case , first marriage only last 2 months(no rukhsati) , 309 and 600 were filed but withdrawn and didnt resulted in a Visa grant.(all visas filed myself/no agent)

Then I am getting married again with my fiancee after having an 8 months engagment period , looking to file her 309 visa soon.

shud I hire a consultant to help me with my new visa file for 2nd wife? any complications expected or it shud be smooth as the pervious file? just a bit worried if immigration asks for anything new as its a 2nd marriage (i have divorce cert etc) , anyone thinks it wud be a prob with added complexity? i understand the visa process and the claims/proofs to provide to IMMI

    thanks guys

Mate my advise is that don't file 309 partner visa. It will never end in processing. I have been waiting for my wife 309 visa for 17 months. And i have a child too who is now 9 months old now. I have been sent them numerous email. They just always give disappointing answer that the file is under processing processing processing blah blah blah.

Hey guys. Is it true paper based applications take longer to be processed? Has anyone had their paper based application approved within the 12 month time frame?

We applied in Nov 2017 and have not heard from them since. Its 11 months and nothing whatsoever. The wait is unbearable now. May Allah give us patience.

Yes mate paper documents do take longer time. I have also been waiting since 17 months for my wife 309 visa.
