Hi,I've been watching the tracker and the 189 are being pumped out, they had 14 grants on Jan 31st. Hopefully the 190 starts to move in February, its been slow going for grants this month.
Can you please point me in the direction as to where I can view the tracker. I'm also waiting for a 190 grant, so be interesting to view.
Thanks -
Fingers crossed for you. This must be an horrendous wait. Checking emails every day hoping that golden email has arrived
208 [emoji20] no news but the ex had contact Saturday to give permission for my daughter so hopefully not too much longer xx -
Where are you taking the assessment? And with whom as I believe future skills is slightly different to vettessass.I am also preparing for trade test for electrician General and I want to know about it.
-
Ah great. I was expecting 2 hours or so for an adult. May make the football now then lol. Thanks for adding me onto the list.It was just me in my own. It took about 40 mins or so.
When you hoping to make the move? -
Yes sorry, the medical itself? There's 5 of us. But the children's are not as in-depth as the adults I believe. When you say take - what do you mean please? The actual medical itself? -
If I had my way and we got the golden grant then I would love to go straight away, but just trying to be a lil bit more realistic.November makes sense! We're hoping for August but we have a city center flat that should sell fairly quickly and no weddings to attend [emoji846] We have cats instead of kids and they'll end up costing us over £5,000 but they're worth it. They're indoor and always have been s no issues with Australia's hatred of roaming cats.
We were nervous about the medicals too, as we're a bit overweight but the doctor didn't even mention that at all. Said everything was fine [emoji846]
Have you looked at any suburbs you like at all?
Thanks for the link, I was just having a little look. There's been some very quick grants on there.
How long do the medicals take? -
Hi Jon and Sophie.Hi Leigh!
We applied on 14th Dec for 489 so look to be on almost the same timescales as you. We did our medicals a week ago and they appeared on the immi account within a few days, so you'll have them up there in no time.
Here is the link again if you didn't want to scroll back:

I have it open on my chrome and refresh every morning [emoji846]
If you were to get the grant in March, which is what we're hoping for, when do you think you'd head over to Adelaide?
Thanks for your reply. Fingers crossed if everything goes ok we are looking at November. We want to finish the kids school years and also have a house to sell. Oh and also my sister in law has her wedding in September.
What about you? How was the medicals? I'm quite nervous about them for some reason. I've no health related issues and haven't been to the doctor's for about 10 years it just seems it's the last hurdle of 8 months hard work.
Thanks

We just have to undertake medicals which are booked in for this Saturday in Sutton Coldfield. Police checks and form 80 has already been done. So hope it's the last bit we have to do. It's been a bloody rollercoaster like I'm sure it has been for everyone else. Fingers crossed for everyone who is waiting for a grant. We are on day 47 for the 190 ... fully front loaded and I think a few others are too
Booo! to the idea that they are processing the 489 faster although the 489 used to take longer amd the published times for both 190 and 489 are currently the same!
for an idea, Jenki and Jonandsophie posted the link to a tracker for SA sponsored visas - I think its the first post on page 31 or 32 of this thread :)- 1

Thank you for your response. We are only on day 31 so still a long way off then. Congrats on your grant.I had my 489 granted in 80 days. However I read they are prioritising 489 over 190 at the moment. I am not sure how true that is though.- 1

No sorry, should of explained better. We waited 3 weeks for the EOI invite and now lodged visa. Do you know what visa grant time scale is ATM? Does it differ going down SA 190 route, or?5 weeks if you mean applying to SA.
Thanks -
Hi JellicaOoooo exciting times, good luck. Im open to it taking a while but Im hoping we could be one of the lucky ones ... Im happy so long as we make it over this year (I said that last year too, then SA had mega processing times for sponsorship!)
Do you possibly know what current waiting time is for SA sponsorship?
Thanks -
What is his profession? He will retrain x
-
Hi.
I'm an electrician myself and I've gone down the skilled visa route. SA currently have electricians on their skills list so this could be a route for either a 189/190 route .
But you would have to calculate your points based on age, experience and what electrical qualifications he has etc.
Alternatively your profession maybe on their skills list so that could also be a way.
If you need any info regarding what's involved via the electrician route then I'm more than welcome to explain the route.
Thanks -
Hi.SA has been getting faster and faster with processing. Someone on the forum though they had increased staffing to get through the applications. Mine took 8 week and 2 days when it was still at 10-12 weeks for processing.
What ANZSCO did you apply for?
It's 341111 General Electrician. I was copied into an email at 5am this morning.
When I emailed my agent she said that I shouldn't of been sent it and it should of gone through them as our representatives.
I imagine the visa application requires a extremely longer wait though lol.

Hi.We lodged EOI 190 for South Australia 13 weeks ago (end of august). Their website says processing time is 10 weeks. If it was a definite no, would we know by now?! And if the occupation is full, are there ever an extra invitations sent out?
Have you heard back yet? I lodged my EOI on the 15th November and had the invite today. Just short of 4 weeks. I was shocked at how fast it was as my agent said it's taking 8-10 weeks. -
Yes mate. I passed thankfully, it's quite a expensive day to have to pay for it all over again lol.
I can't account for the other two but future skills was a relaxed day and they don't want you to fail. Nudge you in the right direction if they can see your nearly there.
Your given all the equations on a sheet, so not expected to know them off by heart. -
Hi.
Had my results come through today, although I did the assessment in London with future skills. The theory is the hardest part especially if it's been a while, everything else is very straight forward. I was given a booklet when I booked my assessment which was everything you needed really.
You planning on using future skills or vettassess?
Thanks -
That's good to know then, so he will tell me either star or delta and will I just have to put the plate across for star or? Is it just you and the wife going over or do you have children? You renting to start with? You looked at areas you like yet mate? I was sent this. Is this how I have to draw it out and how they want it. Bloody looks like a master piece.
-
Adelaide as well mate. I have a friend who's been there 10 years, just opened up his own electrical company. So was just a safer option really. When you hoping to move? Looked at any areas in Adelaide?
-
Ah that's a shame, I would of been up for that as could be helpful as you've been there etc.plus it's an expensive cost for the day. So does he tell you star or delta and then you draw it out? Would you possibly have the drawing with the right symbols that they want to see? Appreciate your help and giving me your time mate.
-
Gloucester, how about yourself?
-
Was it a proper book or was it printed A4 with revision notes on it? Heard it was the later but might have to still invest if it's going to help. Have you been granted your visa?
-
Ah ok got you, as in the terminals- u1 w1 v1 etc?
-
Sounds pretty simple but seem to be absolutely terrified about it and has made me doubt myself lol. Think it's mainly because it's for the whole family and not just myself. Is this diagram I have managed to find now like what you have said with the mcb?
