  1. Further to my post from yesterday, received an email to provide the following within 28 days ● Evidence of Rukhsati preparations ( e.g. hotel bookings, invitations, receipts of dresses or jewellery purchased etc.) ● A statement stating your future plans as a married couple
  2. Just to update you all my DOL is 23 August 2018. My wife received an interview call yesterday(No communication/generic email received before this call). They asked usual questions to verify if our relationship is genuine. family/siblings details, my work details and how our relationship got started at first place etc Furthermore as i have just done Nikkah only, they asked about when we are planning to do the rukhsati and if we can upload any evidence of preparation done in this regards, At the end Interviewer said if we need any documents we will ask otherwise you can get the decision anytime.
  3. Bro waiting since August 2018 haven't received any sort of communication yet.. you got a long wait ahead..
  4. I applied for my wife on 23 August.. Still I haven't received any generic email and status still showing as Initial assessment, anyone in the same boat?
  5. Hello Mohadisa I applied on 23 august 2018 for my wife.. I haven't received any generic email yet from the department. on What exact date did you apply in August 2018?
  6. Salam Jillani Please contact vodafone they might be able to generate call records for you. I was using postpaid so getting a bill every month but not sure about the prepaid service. for Whatsapp what i am doing is taking screenshots of each group of calls made on a particular day(click the "i" button next to any call-that shows the number of calls made and duration of each call). Taking them all 1st of every month for previous month and merge them all to one pdf and reduce the size of the file to bring it down under 5 MB and upload the file every month. I hope it would help.
  7. Congrats Nice to see things are moving forward. Just wondering if there is any first entry requirement ?
  8. Congratulation.. great to see you haven't got any issues with your visa.. just wondering is there any time frame they gave you before you need to make your first entry in Australia?
  9. Thank You for the clarification Andy.. I took this question and period of separation in a sense of "a temporary Break-up period".
  10. Ohhh gosh , i am sorry to hear that your application got refused.. but it seems very illogical when you are legally married and have continuing relationship still they refused the application.. it doesn't make sense they make this "living together" factor as a significant factor and how it could be possible when once person is living in one country and other is living in another how could they possibly live together? just a question out of curiosity, did you provide them all the chats/call history when you both were away? and were your relationship was more then 12 months old before you applied the visa?
  11. Can someone please help me with the following question asap? "Has the applicant lived separately and apart from the sponsor for any periods of time since committing to a shared life together to the exclusion of all others?" we have been in a long distance relation since start of our commitment but we never broke up.. we never lived together even after our marriage as i had to come back to Australia. So the answer would be "YES" or " NO"??
  12. Thank you Andy for your advice.. True , there is no point of lying when your relationship is genuine. I would try to arrange the reception before we get the visa but i am not sure if its goona be that simple.
  13. Hello Jillani Thank you for the response. Yes you are right , there is no point of getting confused with nikkah and rukhsati. Can you suggest what should we right about nature of household than as we didn't live together obviously it was nikkah only.
  14. Hello There I am going to apply for my Partner's visa(309) and we only had done Nikkah. we have planned for the rukhsati next year after/ just before the visa application will be finalised. we have been in the long distance relationship for 4 years before our nikkah(have got the chats and other evidences). Just wondering if declaring nikkah only can effect/delay our application in any way?Anyone who got the visa recently with nikkah only? or had any similar experiences someone wanna share Please? Thank you Regards, Usman
