@@dream_aus Personally, if you have an approval for Dev Programmer, then I would suggest you lodge visa for that.
If you change to Analyst Programmer, you would risk a delay (nomination would need to be re lodged) and risk of refusal (as to why you changing nomination for the same applicant).
@Hex - Thanks. Applied for Developer Programmer with ACS and have got the result. Will complete the application and apply soon.

Hi All,
Questions for Software Developers.
My nomination is approved for Developer Programmer and I have ACS certificate for Analyst Programmer.
Shall I apply visa for Developer Programmer or Analyst Programmer. The previous application refusal has made me very concerned about all these things now.
thanks

Hi all,
I have an update on my bf's process in case this is useful (He accidentally attached his application to the wrong nomination and was asked by immigration to withdraw as this information can't be changed or it would be refused).
We emailed back asking to allow us to submit an Incorrect Answers form and continue the process but the response was again NO. After that, we proceded to submit a withdrawal application form and a refund form Friday last week.
Yesterday, my bf got an email from immigration asking him to call the Case Officer to discuss his case. They went through everything over the phone, the CO asked a lot of questions and then told him that he found a clause in the policy where he could process his application as is... 2 hours later we received the Approvals for both nomination and application!!!!
I know how frustrating must be for people that have been waiting for years to see people getting approvals in 4 months, I sympathize because I can totally see myself feeling the same way if I was in your shoes. I firmly believe that they must have a different team working in visas after SAF Levy fee...
I wish everyone gets their PR soon and I hope that sharing this information will be useful to someone here!
Hi @Sofia - can you please tell us about the policy or the form your bf filled in order to proceed. I am facing the same problem where the information cannot be changed.
-
I think a new CO is allocated if we apply again.

@@dream_aus That is unfortunate, however, if you look on the plus side - you've been contacted directly from a CO, this typically means that are actively looking at your case.
I've seen this before (more than once), whereby after the mistake is rectified, the application is granted almost immediately.
- Not saying that WILL absolutely happen, however, I think you'd have a good chance.
My opinion would be to resubmit as quick as possible and sort out the finances (and the person at fault / liable for payment) later.
Good luck!
Thanks, @Hex - I am of the same opinion and thus have started my application.

AND BUMMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi All,
Just thought of informing you guys. I got a call from the case officer and he informed me that my nomination was filed under DE (incorrectly filed by HR, but approved) and the application was filed under TRT.
He has advised me to withdraw my application and re-apply for DE.
Because of a small mistake (that also not of mine), I am loosing $6000.
Nomination (DE) - 3 May 2018
Visa (TRT) - 4 May 2018
Nomination Approved - 15 March 2019
More documents requested - 15 March 2019
Case officer contacted - 29 April 2019

I'm so sorry to hear about this situation. can you appeal on visa refusal?
I've been asked for overseas experience and your post actually made me anxious
Each skill assessment body has different rules. For ACS if your company is not providing you the skill certificate you can ask an ex colleague from same company to sign an affidavit. And that is considered with PayG and salary slips.
Explore all your options.

Hold on Mate, check with another MA first.
My MA told me the 3years experience requirement does not necessary be skill assessed if you are under DE program.
( I am not expert - worth asking more people before withdraw it!!)
Yup same suggestion.
@AndyBRPlease check with another MA as well.

I believe skilled experience only counts for points tested visas and not for employer nomination??
Isn't required for DE ???

And s/he has also been advised work experience before Bachelor degree is not counted. Not sure if I've heard of this condition..
Not sure, but to me this seems right. Because I am an electronics and communication engineer and when I applied for skill assessment with ACS, they deducted 4 years of experience.

Hey guys,
I'm into a very tricky situation. I applied my visa on 14/02/2018 as Web Developer, when I lodged the visa my ICT skills assessment from ACS was showing 2 years 5 months of experience (it doesn't match with the Department requirements that is 3 years of experience, my agent neither me noticed this). I have more than 11 years of experience in total, but looks like the Department only consider the experience after my Bachelor Degree(without counting the experience after the lodge).
I can see few options here:
- Try to submit a new assessment once again to ACS with the same Bachelor Degree (applying today I will get more than 3 years of experience, but I'm not sure if the Department will accept it)
- Try to submit a new assessment once again to ACS using my Technologist certificate from 2009 (not sure if they will accept it)
- Withdraw the application with the same documents starting from month zero once again
The main thing here is that I lodged the visa with less than 3 years of experience.
Do you guys see any other option? What do you guys reckon should be the best option?
Hey Mate,
Apparently, yes you need to have 3 years experience on your skill assessment before you apply. The time after application is not counted.
You agent should have checked this.
Please check with a different MA.

Hi guys, i have applied for a 186 DE visa. I have taken unpaid annual leave both before and after applying. My boss authorised my unpaid annual leave each time. Im just wondering if the unpaid annual leave will compromise the final result of my application? Has anyone gone through anything similar?
I took a weeks unpaid leave thus I did wait for 1 week before filing nomination.
However, yours is DE so there might be different rules.

sorry, I dont understand that waiting period, can you please elaborate further?
can i have unpaid leave after applying?
Suppose you took unpaid leave for 1 week before applying. Then you can apply for visa after completion of 2 years and 1 week.
I have no idea about unpaid leave taken after applying for visa.

Don't you have a downloaded copy ?

Something wrong with the excel, it is not showing March row in the Status sheet and some information from Feb is missing.
And the total number of applications is also messed up.
