Applied 14th October, London, Full 100 visa granted today 8th November!

Was not expecting that kind of turn around, can anyone advise me please... The visa says

For first entry arrive by 08 November 2022

Must not arrive after 08 November 2026

Slightly confused by this. Do we have to go before 8 nov 2022? What if we are not ready then, its only a year away ahhhh

When did you originally apply. We received our rfi for medicals and police checks at the start of oct. All uploaded last week. Hoping for a fast pick up on the visa as been waiting 3 1/2 years after our appeal. Now embassy has everything I’m hoping for a fast response as flights booked for March next year for us and have to ship things in the new year.

What subclasses of visa were granted within 2 weeks and have you seen the visa grant letters and evidence of the date of application?

Yes have seen a lot of 309/100 lodged from Uk. If you look on the partner visa Australia forum on Facebook there are a lot and they show there grant letters. They seem to be done very quick from Uk atm. Just wish I knew how long until they pick up my application after winning my appeal. The waiting is so hard especially after waiting 3 1/2 years already

  4. The remit is very in detail and states we should be granted a 309 as we have strong evidence. It’s very in detail and they placed a lot of weight on the strength of our relationship etc.
just wish didn’t take long as some being granted through the London office I have seen have been granted within 2 weeks from original lodgement. So hoping they are quiet. Fingers crossed

  5. I applied for my 309/100 visa back in March 2018. Was refused due to technical error at embassy as no evidence received by the embassy 4 weeks after application. We applied for the appeal in June 2018 and finally won our case 2 weeks ago in sept 2021

Does anyone have any idea on timeframe from remit to grant. We originally applied through the London office so hoping will go back there for them to grant.  Just want to know how long will take.
    Any help appreciated

Current average AAT processing time for a partner appeal is listed at 716 days.

Unfortunately partner visa refusal numbers are quite high with a large AAT case load.

The latest statistics show over 5,500 active partner appeals at the AAT.

Yes we are over 180 days over that time now. It has gone down since Xmas as was over 748. So time scale is coming down just hope we are soon as 3 years is a long time

  7. Hey all just wanted to know if anyone here is in the process of an appeal at all.
ours was lodged for appeal in June 2018 and still awaiting to hear a date

any help would be appreciated and be nice to see if anyone is in the same position as us.

    Timeline-

    Lodged- Jan 2020

    Approval 309- Sept 2020

We had to apply for an exemption as my partners visa is expiring here soon so have to leave after that date, I’m so thankful and relived!

Thanks everyone for your support and guidance this forum has been a great help.

The whole system is so messed up.
2 1/2 years down the line and we are still waiting because of there system issues

having to move house on a short tenancy I’m the hope it’s done by Xmas.

  9. I applied 309/100 partner visa  March 2018

refused April 2018 due to them not receiving any of the 100 documents attached for some reason

applied for appeal June 2018  still waiting  hopefully hear something soon  don’t know how much longer can wait

I’m sorry to hear this, can’t even imagine how frustrating it must be and not knowing if and when it will be sorted out! May I ask what happened? I’m new to this forum! Me and my Aussie partner are two of us with baby girl here in London and I know how hard it is when it’s just you and no family to help out or support! Keep strong 💪

We applied in March 2018 though a registered Mara agent

paid our fees. Sent all appropriate documents.
Our agent uploaded everything. The embassy were doing online updates at the time and they received our application but no documentation to support our application so without contacting us the just refused us

we then either had to reapply again and pay the whole fee again or appeal it.
As we feel we did nothing wrong our side we went with the appeal.
we have been together 5 years this Christmas and have 2 children together. We just want to get over there to start our new life and have the family support we don’t have here.
we just hope it gets looked at soon. Very hard time for us but we won’t be beaten.

It’s awful what you’re going through mate, leaving you in limbo for that long is nothing short of a disgrace.

I cannot begin to tell you.
was hoping to be done by now as have to move out our rented home in January and then what we don’t know

we have family and support in Australia. Here we have no one  it’s so so hard and put so so much strain on us. I just hope it’s sorted soon. We are a family woth 2 small children so all this waiting in limbo is horrific.

I am so beyond frustrated with this whole process. Because my husband is in Australia (on a bridging visa) our application has been put on hold (seemingly indefinitely) because they can't grant his 309/100 until he is offshore - and with the travel restrictions in place who knows when borders will reopen. We lodged our application nearly 17 months ago now and still waiting. It's all messed up thanks to Covid

Try 28 months ago I applied. Been a nightmare. Refused and still waiting. We have put our whole life on hold. It’s so unfair

We are in a similar situation- husband and myself were made redundant end of last year. His visa came through Feb and we got our house sold and let schools know here etc that we were leaving. The sale was put on hold due to current situations but is now going ahead on Monday so we will be staying with family for now but wanting to head over as soon as possible to start looking for jobs and get the kids into schools etc...just concerned on flights etc. From what I can see we need to complete a form to get permission to fly, then there are a limited amount on one way flights with Qantas (Emirates flight) and then it will be a 14day quarantine when we get there. Not ideal at all. We plan on going beginning of July now so hoping maybe things might be easier by then but I have a feeling it won’t as I know on Qantas website it says till at least the end of July 😭

My mother in law flies back home to aus on the 18th May.
she is going with Qatar airlines from Heathrow then to Doha transfer there on to next flight to Sydney then quarantine in a hotel for 2 weeks before she is allowed home

@Kayse My wife is currently in Australia with our son and having waited so long I applied for the 651 evisitor visa whilst my 309/100 visa is being decided and followed up with requesting an exemption to travel as an immediate family member. I had a response within 3 hours notifying me that my request had been accepted and my evisitor visa had also been granted at the same time. The exemption is valid for the duration of the evisitor visa and I plan on traveling to Australia mid-May. The link to apply for the travel exemption is below.

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/covid19-enquiry-form

Hopefully u can travel as my mother in law is here in the Uk with us atm as we had a baby 3 weeks ago and now she can’t get home. No flight to Australia at all atm and the 3 flights to get Aussies home is full. We unsure how long will be before she can fly home back to aus and then she will be in isolation in a hotel In Sydney for 2 weeks before she can get home

What is the average waiting time for married couples? Do they have a priority over engaged couples?

I’m Australian and my husband is English. Next year will be 9 years together (8 living together, 6 married).

    We applied in August 19.

I regret not applying from Australia instead, as I am desperate to be back in OZ now.

Unfortunately there is no priority we all just sit in a queue And when we get looked at we get looked at. Long waiting game. We are 18months in still waiting

Oh long story, but too complicated for a RRV so was advise by a MA to apply for another partner visa.

Was asking as im Currently in the appeals process as I was refused for my partner visa 4 weeks after application was submitted. Embassy didn’t receive over 60 documents my agent attached to the application so rather than contact me or agent they refused the application. Been 16 months now so fingers crossed will hear something in the new year.
we went appeal route as felt been unfairly dealt with. Lots of evidence can be supplied  fault with there system caused our refusal and also referring to me as a she and her throughout the rejection letter  felt we had a good case through appeal.

Been longest 16 months of waiting.

Our application should be straight forward:

Married 17 years, together 25 years, 3 kids (all Oz Citizens by descent) 2 of them adults, 1 15 year old.

2nd Partner Visa application (Same partner).

    Lodged 23 May 19.

Medicals/police checks June 19 (all ok)

Uploaded loads, photo's,  bills, etc....etc....used up almost all of the slots!!!

Thought it would have been granted by now.  But then it will be a different case officer this time.

There is nothing more that I can think of that they would need to see.  We have had 2 holidays this year, but not uploaded anything of them yet, not sure that would make a difference??

Can I just ask why second application?

  18. Congrats to all who have had there grants over the past few weeks.
hopefully be some movement on my appeal. Coming up to 18months in January

keep checking the appeal times and now gone up to 20 months so hopefully hear something soon as partner due baby in April so hopefully we can move by Oct next year as house is getting too small here with 2 children and don’t want to move again.
wish things were a lot simpler but lucky for you guys none of you have had to appeal an error on the embassy’s fault and not of our own.

Hi, happy to hear you have managed to upload them. My husband and I did the same and put all docs in the other docs section. Would love to think that there is a processing reason behind this. We applied in May, all front loaded and have done medicals and police checks by around mid August. No RFI as yet. So I think our disappearing docs buck the trend. Any one else out there with no RFI and vanishing docs?

When we had the visa issues back in March last year when we were refused. Our agent uploaded over 60 documents at the start. Then 4 weeks later we were refused as apparently they received no documents.
they showed as sent. Then next thing she logged on and refused and no documents received and no documents showing. Seems they have more problems with this system than they let on.
Will be keeping some of these posts to show clearly we not the only people having problems

This is great to see more movement on grants. Lets see some from 2019 and I will be getting more excited. The only one I am willing to be coming through is for @Ben34uk

I wish. 18 month timeline on my appeal takes us to the 7th January 2020 so fingers crossed it comes though over the coming months so we can start planning our move.

By the time we move will have been over 2 1/2 years.

Hopefully the appeals tribunal pull there fingers out
