Hi Everyone, We have applied for our NSW 190 visa on 26th October. We have submitted everything except Medicals and Police Checks (our agent told us not to front load these, the case officer will contact when they are needed) its now been around 3 months and still no CO contact. Is this normal? Thanks Lucy

Ahh ok great, I will drop them an email for our reference. That's good to know, I thought it was 12 months from when the visa was actually granted rather than the date of our medical/police checks. We have already done form 80. this was before we submitted our application. Seems as through all migration agents must work in a different order. Yes we have applied for NSW xx

Thanks for the advice! Our visa agent has already submitted our application and we have paid the fee, they said they will contact us for medical/police checks..so do you think we should just do these ourselves and then forward these onto our migration agent? I noticed from other posts that your husband is a diesel mechanic (same as my partner) so hopefully we will get a quick turn around like yourselves xx

Hi Everyone, We have just submitted the final part of our visa. Waiting for them to contact us for police checks/medical. Does anyone know the average time to be granted the Visa? Home Affairs says 6-8 months but I wasn't sure if this was the average time from the start of the visa application (putting in an EOI, before being invited/nominated etc) or is this how long it takes from the your final application once you have been invited and paid the government fee? ok thanks. I think the reason im getting confused is because we did out EOI so long ago with our migration agent for other visas but they then said that we should go for South Australia as points had gone up for other regions/they don't require his skill anymore etc. so we agreed to go for SA and now they have emailed us to say they are going to submit the application and need to pay 200AUD. So now is it just a case of us waiting for the visa to be granted? Do you know when we will need to pay the free of 3755 as above?

Sorry I think im getting a bit confused. We have done our EOI and now they have asked us to pay 200AUD for the application fee. Does this mean they have invited us to apply? Its confusing me as it says the visa cost is AUD 3755. So when do we pay this fee once it has been granted? Hi Everyone, Me and my partner are currently in the process of applying for 489 State sponsorship visa for South Australia. I am going on my partners visa as his de-facto. We have sent over all documents etc and have just paid the free of 200AUD for our application. I'm just a bit confused as when looking at other visa options you have to do your expression of interest and then they invite you to apply. Does this mean they have already invited us to apply? We are using a migration agent I have asked them the same question, just waiting for them to get back to me. Thanks Lucy
