I just nearly jumped out of my chair...

Just now a medicare letter had been triggered in to my MyGov account offering me to join the Australian Organ Donation Register... and I absolutely convinced myself that this was due to a change in immigration status.

Alas no, there seems to be no correlation...

    "RECEIVED"

    ?

This waiting game is driving all of us a "little" crazy .. ?

I also heard/read that the waiting period doesn't have any real value because immi assess applications kind of out of order.

Like depending on occupation, country, if application has all documents and so on

It's a waiting game.. No one really knows. And as per their email they doing applications from 2016 to March 2017.. But we've seen application approved for November/December 2017 etc.

Yeah I realise you said that but its not my question. Why do you think that is the question? Ive never seen it on the website or heard it on the forum before (but I may be wrong hence why Im asking).

That would probably mean you would start from Visa application again, although nomination was done long ago and approved already.. I'm just referring to applicants who did visa way later than Nomination date

That its from the date of nomination. Your comments didn't back up your conclusion so I wanted to know how you got to that point please? Genuinely interested to know. Thanks

It's not from the date of Nomination mate! Its back to start again.. from the date you submitted visa.

  6. @J VitorWe did the same.. Waited for Nomination approval before submitting visa. I sent email to nsw the other day.. And by the looks of it, you get thrown back in the queue again.. So from date of visa application and not Nomination.

Out Visa has been lodged 9/3/2018 and also showing received.

Our Nomination was lodged  July 2017 and approved Feb 2018

I don't think it's a standalone form or anything, I think its one of those 'by submitting your application you agree that you intend to work int he position for 2 years', I dont remember signing a letter for it anyway....correct me if I'm mistaken please!!

Yes, This is how I understand this as well

Did you actually sign such a letter and provided it together with the rest of the documentation for your visa? Or is it a declaration included in the form 80 that I forgot about it? I have applied for a 186 DE, I'm aware of the moral obligation etc etc, but I've never heard of the need a signed letter.

We applied for TRT 186 and if I'm correct it was just one question at the bottom of the application which you had the tick.

Something similar to Terms and conditions which you get at the bottom which you just tick before you proceed with the application on Immi Account

    Hey guys...

I FINALLY received the golden email.... I can't be more happy.. My PR has been granted :)

    • Occupation: Marketing
    • Direct Entry
    • Onshore
    • LR
    • Nomination / Visa application lodged in December 2016... (Yeah long time ago... LOL)
    • Nomination and visa approved on same day.
    • No extra requested documents

I've been addicted to this forum and my immigration account over the last 17 months...Way too much! believe me :)  It has been helpful sometimes but I've been also very upset when people provides misleading information or when people shares weird theories (example: Only unskilled people waits long time, only people who works for small companies etc etc

this is mostly Bulls***** :) and very irritating to read :)   I guess,  this is just luck of the draw seriously

I can now enjoy my freedom and good luck to everyone, but especially to people who have been waiting forever.

I keep my fingers crossed for the 2016 applicants!!!!!! :)

    @AJSAJS: You're NEXT!!!!!!! :)

    Congratulations!!!  You've waited sooooo long!!

I'm sure you will have way more exciting things to do now as to check the forum and Immi account every 5 minutes like the rest of us :P

    Enjoy your freedom!

When I applied my IELTS score has not expired. But it will expire on July 2018. If the Immigration opens my file after July 2018, is it a requirement that I have to provide another IELTS certificate? Can anyone give an expert advice?

Ours also expired a month after lodgement, but will just wait and see if they ask us to renew them.  ;)

  11. Silent follower here .... :-)

We submitted our Nomination July 2017 and approval received 28 Feb 2018.  We were told by department of immigration to wait for nomination approval before we submit visa as we cant get a refund if nomination was refused..Its just too much money to loose so we waited just in case :-).  Its TRT Application

We submitted our visa application 8 March 2018.. My question is, do you guys think we will be added to the back of the line again and wait 9 - 12 months if we already have nomination approval?  I cant really see someone with the same scenario on the 186 Timeline sheet as everyone almost everyone submit nomination + visa application on the same date.

I know its something no one can really tell ... just wondering if someone has done it this way and time frames..
