Hi All
Applying online for Citizenship, what is the situation with passport photographs for online upload? Do they also need signing on the reverse? or is just the photograph with the 1195 declaration sufficient?
Cheers!
Cath

Mine was high at my medical, the GP said probably due to stresses of the scenario and my weight but signed it off

Hey all!
I got my 820 today.
submitted 22nd November 2019
straight to visa grant today 9th January
Spookily, it’s 4 years today since me and my husband got together.
note I had a PMV 300 grant in March 2019- I believe the subsequent 820 is usually quicker in this situation.

@mppc I keep checking and I’m really keeping everything crossed for you that you can cancel that flight!!

@SpaintoAus they’ve been known to sometimes not give accurate info (read through these forums)
Great news if it’s all good (it’s not impossible!) but I’d be going all belts and braces if it were me- there’s no recourse on a conversation you may have had with them which may have given you incorrect info.
-
@SpaintoAus have you checked this out with with a migration agent?? Please please be careful that you are remaining lawful. The bridging visa usually carries the same working rights as that visa you have been on (the expiring one) NOT the one you have applied for.
as I’m sure everyone is aware, immigration are known to visit these forums and although it’s a long old wait, it’s worth the advice just to be sure you’re not scuppering your whole future.

Hi all! I’m back!!!
i lodged my 820/801 over the weekend and frantically getting the uploads together which is painful lol!
hoping for a quick turnaround as I’ll be on BVA in a few weeks time.
For those with an 820 grant, what is the valid until date?

Hi guys! Great to see the spreadsheet lives on!!
Congrats to those with grants coming through. It’s an amazing feeling I wish I could bottle it up lol!!

@Noodlejaffa great to see you on this side of the process lol! “Here we go again!”
I’m not ready to submit yet. We’re getting married next month so I’ve started to collate some evidence.

I’d be careful travelling on a visitor visa given the nature of your trip.... might be best to get some advice.
-
There’s no set time. Could be weeks, could be months... where did your request for info come from?
-
Hi Tracey
you’re in good company. There is a thread with timelines and all other useful info for applications through the uk. It’s labelled 309 but there’s been plenty of 300 applicants there as well (myself included!)
Welcome!!

Hi All
Thought I'd start a waiting room thread for those applying / applied for subclass 820.
If you've come through the PMV300 route that would be great to know too!!
-
Hi All!!! Q fairly quiet week last week but still some grants coming through
Se current state of play below... @Edinlass would be great to know if you have heard anything!
Instructions for adding signature also added below - fingers crossed for a visa granting week ahead!!!

@NatW1986 It would be impossible for us to speculate whether the requests are "good or bad" all you can do is take comfort that its being looked at and moving along in the queue. That said, I believe its completely normal for the contact and confirmation from the other parent - given the other stories here.
-
Congratulations!!! I’ll get a spreadsheet up this evening!!
-
Hi guys! Try not to get too disheartened by approvals for applications after your own... back in February I was one of the last at the end of a batch that seemed to be processed in a rough reverse date order! It’s frustrating but hang on in there

There's nothing stopping you from obtaining them in advance, although be aware, just the same as the applicant, these can expire so you may find yourself re-applying for them.

Uk ACRO clearance from here:
https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
AFP check here
https://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks
Don’t forget that these expire (usually a year) so you may need to re-do them if the grant doesn’t happen in time
