  1. Hi Ali, Do you mean the cost threshold has been increased to 49000 for 10 year period.. is that what you are talking about??
  2. Hi, I have one more question. Per the official website below are the costs accounted for Medical tests cost calculation . Does NDIS fall under any of these categories. Would NDIS costs be accounted under 49000 too """""""“Health care” is not defined under migration law. Under policy, health care is taken to include: ongoing medical services (e.g. renal dialysis) hospital services (both inpatient and outpatient care) residential and nursing home care services palliative care community health care community consultations (e.g. general practitioners, specialists, allied health and other health care providers, if subject to a public subsidy) rehabilitation services disability services medications subsidised by the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme). 3. Hi All, My close family, have a child with OBPI birth injury 2.5 years old with good function in hand and improving. We have applied for 190 Visa already and waiting to give medical exam. Before we go for medicals, we thought we should get all the documents ready so that there is no delay with MOC asking for more later. Our specialist agreed to give us a letter for visa medicals with all the history, prognosis and possible condition for next 10 years. We will take the reports like OLD MRI reports, case reports till last visit and letter from the current visit and obviously the child will be there before the panel of doctors. Does any one have a format of the letter that we can use. Also can the letter be addresses to "to whom so ever it may concern" or should it be specifically addressed to visa officer or MOC. Should we include as much info as possible in that letter or just keep it short. Also since we are from India, does it make sense to include cost of treatment will date in India (I would think not necessary, but still wanted to double check) Thanks
  4. Agreed, but wanted to understand.. what part of my question here is not clear,, I will correct them.. Hi All, I have a few questions as below on medicals, its urgent , can you please respond.. Please don't judge my questions, I am going through so many options these days... 1. Can I go to medicals for NZ before applying for VISA 2. If so are the results on medical conditions in anyways shared between other countries like AU, CAN or UK?? 3. If I fail medicals once, will I not be able to apply for visa to that country again. 4. Are the medical cost calculation rules the same or similar between AU and NZ. 5. If I attend my medicals for NZ and fail them , will it effect my AU or CAN application or medicals in anyway. 6. The panel of doctors centre I go for medicals do medicals of CAN, AU, NZ, UK and USA. Will they save my medical information and access it next time I visit them again.. Thanks
  5. Ohh you are meaning to say I should share for whom I am applying the VISA for.. I disagree , PR forum question is a question!! Well now the confusion is clear.
  6. Hi, First of all, why do you need an RRV... Are you in AU and do you have more time left on your PR..?? I applied for RRV because I was still working in US and came here the last day of PR expiry and still needed to go back and pack up things before I move.. Once you are in the country you only need RRV if there is not time on your PR and you need to travel outside the country.. In any case, I will answer your questions..
  7. Yes I already have a PR. I am processing it for close family...some one I really care for..
  8. @Verystormy, FYI - I have spent 350$ talking to a famous attorney , and 1500 dollars on a medical cost estimation. I understand when people ask me to do something. May be there is a reason why I am coming back again and again or may be I am not sure of the outcome, so searching my options as I still have time.. I am being very clear here - I am not trying to cheat the system in any way... people are frustrated enough to be judged over agin I appreciate what you are doing in the forum here,, but God look at the tone of your msg.
  9. Hi Hi, Strong ties include, 1. Your running bank accounts, 2. Rental agreement 3. Full time job (not sure of parttime though). 4. Extended family in AU (submit their addresses and passport copies) 5. Any partner of child visa that has been applied with you P.S - I moved to AU on last dat of my 5 year expiry :), just made one entry before . Applied for a RRV after I came here a got it approved in a month. By then we showed that I am searching for a job, opened a bank account, cousins and family in AU, applied for partner and child for family back in US by then.

  12. I have already contacted them, but I some how feel I am not fully confident about the condition and see how the costs are calculated
  13. Hi All, I am thinking to consult Dr.Martha Baz about what would be likely medical costs and outcome of our medical conditions. Did anyone contact Dr.Baz and submit her clinical summary note for PR medical appointment. Would the summary note from her help to pass medical examinations. Would she also help us understand how to overcome if the total cost of medical condition is exceeding 49K Thanks Dip
  14. Hi, Did any one consult with Dr.Baz for medical conditions. If so can I have her latest contacts. Can I also get a review on her. The old phone numbers don't seem to be working and the website seems to be not updated for ages Thanks
  15. Did anyone contact Dr.Baz recently. If so can I know her fees?? Does any one have her contacts, the ones on the forum seems to be old and phones not working.

    Cerebral Palsy

But I just wanted to make sure , is there a way we can get this cost of treatment calculated with some one or any insurance company..

    Cerebral Palsy

Hi @Marisawright , I spoke to the kids doctor and we are very wrong in categorising the condition as cerebral Palsy, The condition is a birth injury called OBPI (Obstetric brachial plexus injury), which is a nerve injury at birth. The doctor said this has nothing to do with brain and intellectual well being, its only physical hand issue which can be strengthened with PT and in few cases might beed a modquad surgery.. I want to understand how to calculate possible medicare expenses (per 40000 AUD limit) before we go for medical tests Thanks
  19. But these are panel physicians who would do your exam. You need to go there with HAPID and appointment correct?? my question is more towards even before you generate a HAP ID is there a way to know if my case would clear medical or not would these panel physicians give a general appointment with out a HAP ID i don’t want my details to get into the system .. Also I am not talking about cost of medical testing , I am talking about the cost estimation of Medicare burden if we have a condition so we can calculate our chances to PR approvals There is a limit of 40000 AUD for 5 years correct, if your condition would exceed these costs then you will fail in medical testing correct?? Thanks
  20. Hi All, Just want to check if any one has a clue if even before we go for Medical tests, is there a way we can get a cost estimation done, so we have a fair idea of what we are dealing with Thanks Deepika

    Cerebral Palsy

The problem is for cases like this doctors wont give a static answer, they will say it might be this or that?? Will still try to see what our doctor says..

    Cerebral Palsy

so how can we understand her treatment costs even before we go for Medicals.. Right now in India she is not going for any treatments as such. The parents do only PT at home Thanks
