Once you are a citizen your visa is cancelled so no you do not have to comply with any visa conditions.  Your contract of employment is a different thing though. Some employers write in a clause you have to pay back any visa or moving expenses if you quit early.

    Thanks for your comment.

  2. I am on 187 visa and would soon be eligible for citizenship. If i am to obtain my citizenship before completing 2 years with my employer, must i stay  until the completion of the 2 years with the employer. Thank you

The result of the visa was not finalized in October 2018...it was finalized 15th Feb 2019. So this person should make up their mind when did they apply in 2017 or 2018 because if it's May 2018 to Feb 2019 is 9 months.

Visa and nomination applied may 2017, nomination approved October 2018, thats 17 months, visa granted on february 2019, total 21 months. This is to my own understanding.

If it's a mistake how did U calculate 21 months?? U not only made a typo mistake but U even wrote at the bottom it took 21 months...how could U make such a big error? If it's May 2018 then that makes 9 months not 17 months as U claim...are U just here to waste people time by giving wrong information.

You are the one who is wrong. May 2017 to Oct 2018 is 17 months.

Yeah they asked for PCC, AFP, medical

That's it so I just wanna know how long they will take more once I submit this all docs

    Thanks

They usually give 28 days for documents submission, some people do get a response few days after uploading their documents or after 28 days interval or more. I have a friend who submitted since a month and two weeks now still no response, so it is case by case. Good luck, at least your file has opened.

Thank you for replying with such great information.

and yes it shows further assessment on it. does it suggest isolation from others of any sort?

The visa application process start with receive ~ initial assessment ~ Further Assessment ~ Finalised. However, based on the number of people who went from initial assessment straight to finalised tend to get decisions in a period of days or few weeks but higher number of people who went from initial assessment to further assessment tend to wait longer like in months. I do not know the reason for this. This is just based on the information obtained from the thread.

More then 4 month since nom approval. no news yet. could there be any reason behind it? any similar experience please share your thoughts as well as your experience.

A lot can cause these, occupation, HR countries, type of organisation, qualifications, availability of the CO, etc. Honestly, no one can actually provide exact information about the delay. It is very uncommon to see such cases. Is your status in further assessment? few people have suggested that further assessment status usually takes longer to be finalised, but quite number of people have also obtained their visas withing 60 days period of further assessment status.

@Synergy22 You'd think so right - but seems it's not always the case.

From my experience on this forum, it seems cases that need more interrogation for whatever reason (and possible high risk occupations) generally get moved into "Further Assessment". *Disclaimer*
    - This is not a rule of thumb and there have been cases that have neither of those that are moved into that same stage, however, this is based off what I have seen and experienced.

Personally (and with many others), my case went from "Initial Assessment" to granted - this is after being requested for extra / updated documentation (twice).

Ok, a friend is in a similar situation but still under 28 days time frame.

@Jay kim This is typical - the suggested time frame is that the CO would review your case is within 28 days from requested documents being submitted (your english certificate).

However, with it being in "Further Assessment" - it seems this could take longer than that - you only need to see a few threads up of someone waiting 60+ days, and others much longer.

    - There does seem to be a difference between requested documents on a case that's in "Initial Assessment" (I've seen typical turnaround times of 35 days) vs an application in "Further Assessment" (these have no consistency to their timelines).

I don't believe making contact with your CO would make any difference - however, this is your choice (I suspect you'd get back the typical "please wait" response).

Hi, What can make status change to further assessment? To my understanding, it is stages in the assessment process. I think it has to do with when a document is being requested by CO, after uploading, it automatically change to further assessment.

    Hi All,

We finally received our PR on Friday after 11 months.

    Lodged Feb 2018

Additional Police Check requested Dec 2018 and uploaded last Thursday

    PR granted on Friday

Our application was moved to WA PESE for processing (we are based in NSW).

    All updated in the spreadsheet.

Huge relief and a great feeling! Good Luck to everyone still waiting! This site has kept us semi-sane throughout so thank you!

How many days did it take for visa to be granted from the date of additional documents request?

Normally, just normally, if there's something wrong with your nomination. They won't bother to look at your visa at all, but i see so many cases if the nomination looks fine, and they keep asking for nomination documents to make sure, then they will open the visa as well. And the account for the nomination (your employer/agent controls it), and the account for visa is totally different.

Anyway we will never know how they operate or process the visa really to say something surely.

Just wish that I don't even need to see those initial assessment or further assessment, just jump straight to "GRANTED" please 😂

I am not sure if initial assessment or further assessment is a bad thing. Initial assessment is when the case has been opened and they may request for one document or the other and once uploaded, it will automatically goes to further assessment, then expect final decision in no distant time.

Sponsorship is a contract/agreement between you and your employer, you are a full time employee on a salary which you have shown to immigration in papers, if you work more than this or somewhere else on TFN, your tax returns goes high and immigration department see your tax returns and they can easily find the difference, so better not to work on tax.

Oh i have no idea. What of 187 direct entry?

    Thanks for the response.

Is there anyway to switch the employer on the existing application given the circumstances? The new employer is offering the same position under the same terms, in the same location.

We have paid a lot of money for our application, MA fees etc. and have been told that we will lose it all to submit a new application with new MA fees as well.

It’s frustrating as we are expecting news of our visa soon.

I’ve done my best to resolve the issue but unfortunately, I’ve exhausted all avenues.

It is not transferable as you wish, unfortunately. MilaMocha advice is the only option available if you wish to start a new application. So sad
