Hi everyone, I am wondering if someone could help me to clarify this.

My mother is on a tourist visa which will expire in 3 year time (multiple entries, maximum 3 month stay for each entry). If I apply visa 864 for her now, does that mean the bridging visa will only come to effect when her tourist visa expires, and she has to leave Australia after every 3 month stay until then?

    Many thanks.

I am in the same situation as yours. Have you applied 864 for your mother and how much did you pay for the first instalment?

    Hi Guys

I'm new to here and need some advice.

I submitted the citizenship application for my son( 7yrs) and myself in early April 2020(Parramatta).

And I have received the interview/test invitation in 14th Jan 2021 and done with 100% passed with no additional document required in 28th January.

However, until today, the application status still show as "received".

I guess the reason could be my child is not in Australia at the moment. (Both applicant and dependant must be in Aus at the time of approval)

And my child unable to come to Aus in short period of time due to this Covid pandemic.

In this case, Should I or Can I withdrawal my son's application to get myself approve first? Then I can apply for him in appropriate time after this pandemic.

    Thanks

Your son is dependent so no issues, I guess. Do not do anything until you hear from them

Thank you fir your reply, Good to know that you got your approval.
I made a typo .. my test was on 5th of February not the 10th. wondering why it hasn’t approved yet. My partner took the test on the 8th Of February, no update in his application as well.

    Are you in Melbourne?

I am in Sydney. I think it is all about the officer processing it. And due to covid not all of them are working so delay is understandable.

    Hello

i took my test on the 10th of February and passed But my application is still not approved.. my friends got their applications approved the same day or 2 days later.
what could be delaying the approval  , international travels?

    Citizenship applied -13Jan2020

    test invite -4th Feb2021for 12 March2021

    rescheduled -5th Feb 2021.

    passed with 100%
    waiting for approval?

I took the test on 8 Feb and just got approved today. Just be patient, you will get there.

    Thanks for your reply

Just in case someone fails, want to know the options left behind . That’s it.

    Thank you

As I remember correctly, after your docs are checked by the officer, they will give you a piece of paper with ID login and few notes. There is one about if you fail, you will be given another 2 chances on the same day. I guess they restart your test.

And yes, anyone can fail if they do one answer wrong within 5 questions about Aus values. You should keep practising this part a lot then you will be fine.

    Hi,

Sharing our progress and timeline. My wife and myself will be talking the tests tomorrow

    Citizenship Application: 22 Jun 2020

Test Date: 13 Feb 2021 (Parramatta Council)

We don't need to bring the Form 1105 that we submitted on our application right?

No you dont. The officer will read through the application and ask you to show them some docs ie birth cert, driving license ect

    Hi guys

I would soon like to apply for citizenship, but I was wondering- I arrived to activate PR visa May 17 (one week), then went back to UK to sell house/arrange animals etc. Came again in August that year for house search, then went back to complete house sale etc.

I moved fully in Jan 18. Have been told 4 years starts from activation? does that count if residential address was in UK from the May to Dec 17?

    Thank you so much.

4 years is the total time you live in Australia. There is a calculation on the homeaffairs website which will help you to calculate your actual living time in Aus after deducting times you stayed overseas

  9. Hi Guys

    Here are the websites:

    1. easydrivingtest.com.au

    2. citizenshiptestaustralia.com.au

    3. theaustraliantest.com

    4. assiecitizenshiptest.com

    5. free-australian-citizenship-test.musitrature.com

    6. aussian.com

    7. australiancitizenshipsupport.com. I paid $29 to have an account to practice

    Good luck

  10. Hello everyone

Please advise the BEST website to practice the test. I have tried different websites but would like to ask for your advices for the best one.

Is it necessary to purchase $29 to practice the test on AustralianCitizenshipSupport.com? Anyone tried this one yet?

As we are not allowed to fail any of the 5 questions about the common bond so I am a bit scared.

    Thank you

You just drive your car to Sydney on the existing plates and sort it out once you’re settled. You can’t transfer the regó until you have a permanent address in Sydney

For a removalist, we used the Blue Mexican and they were excellent

Thanks so much for your information

  12. Hi everyone

Due to the work re-allocation, I will be moving to Sydney in July 2019. I have few questions and appreciate your help:

    - What revivalist is good to use? I have only 25 boxes of stuff and 2 bicycles

    - What car transport company is good?

    - I want to transport my car to Sydney, but I need to change the plate as required. Has anyone done this and how much is the total cost (green slip, blue slip and registration)? I  checked on the websites but there are too many information that made me confused. My car was bought in Dec 2015 (brand new) and it is Mazda 3.

    Thank you

We reapplied 1st June 2018 ,2 days before our 457 was going to be expired and we got bridging visa.

New nomination is like a brand new case and they start all over again.

Since that time, no news from IMMI. Nothing 😕

Thanks. I understand. The wait is killing

So the Bridging Visa's conditions are similar to the conditions in your previous 457?

    Hi Mate,

    So sorry to hear that.

Last December before Christmas holidays they refused our nomination as well. But because it was the agent mistake to provide wrong documents for training. we didn't appeal it and we just withdrew application and applied again.

    Hi SAJ.N

Since you re-applied in May 2018, any news from the immigration?

I am not sure if they count the waiting time from the 1st nomination and add to the 2nd nomination or they consider 2nd nomination as a new application and new timeline will start all over again?

    Do you have any ideas?

    Thanks
