  1. Hi All!

Has anyones application status on their immi account changed recently? Mine was just updated from "submitted" to "received" today - definitely a positive considering I submitted my application in March 2020 and the processing time on the immi account has changed from initially 5-8 months - 8-13 and now 14-17 months. Coming on Month 16 now... so hopefully some good news.

    Hey guys!

Ive applied for my 190 visa in April 2020 and the processing times keep getting extended by 3 months everytime the limit comes up. It's upto 14-17 months now! I'm worried that I'll need to do my medical, police checks etc again as they won't be valid. Feeling very frustrated that this is taking forever. Anyone have any updates or grants that say otherwise? Ive applied as an Onshore Chef in the NSW. Still haven't been assigned a case officer. Any good news would be welcome now.

    Cheers

Let us know how it goes. I'm at 12 months on February 5th, so maybe I'll have to make the phone call in the near future as well.

    Hi!

Well im nearing the 11 month mark,  i did see the change in processing time when i logged in online to 10-12 months so definitely a positive, however, all we can do in a situation like this is just wait......

I am at the tail end of 13 month processing time and I have watched it get pushed back from 5-6 months. Various reasons to worry really. What if I get rejected? What if I got stood down or fired? What if govt isnt granting the visa for my ANZSCO code anymore? etc2

    Hi,

Still optimistic and hopeful but cant really do much, i think the only thing that really gives comfort is the fact we have managed to receive an invite to apply and lodged an application. In the same boat as you, have had my processing time pushed from 5-7 months, then 8-10 months and now at 10-13months. Guess we just have to keep on waiting patiently....

Qantas has came out with july estimates, vaccines are being distributed, offshore sc 491 are being granted regularly... it's almost our turn, so keep your head up and dont let it get to you.

    Hi!

Yep staying positive! What occupation did you apply for?

We’ve been waiting since the start of feb 2020. Offshore too. It’s so frustrating having our lives on hold. Eldest is almost 15 and worried about moving him during exam years....

If only we had some sort of timeline and transparency we could make a decision. 🤷‍♀️ The 10-13 months is obviously based on some onshore being granted so quickly so not holding my breath for that at all. It’s just such a sad and hopeless feeling waiting and being completely in the dark.

is there a way to find out how many visas have been granted? And how many per occupation and whether or not onshore or offshore?

let’s hope that vaccines are rolled out quickly and life can resume

    Hi!

I know the feeling, ben waiting since March 2020 (single applicant, NSW 190, offshore) - hoping i get case officer or direct grant as I submitted a decision ready application including medicals and police clearance. Have you been assigned a case officer?

    Regards,

    I’m still waiting to.

SC190 visa applied mid Dec 2019, No case officer as of yet & I’m offshore.

I’ve said for months now, that I don’t think things will move until after July 2021, when the new quota is issued.

There are 11200 places for the SC190 July 2020-21, down 55% from last year, July 2019-20.

NSW (who have nominated me) have been allocated 3350 visa places from the central 11200, this includes all primary & secondary applicants as I understand (correct me if I’m wrong someone).

For me, the writing is on the wall but I haven't got a 🔮  😀

    The link is below;

    All the best

Hi Joe/Rose and happy New Year!

So correct if i am wrong, you are saying that NSW has 3350 visa grant places for this year - so we are in for a chance? 😊

I got NSW nomination for 511112 (Project/Program Administrator), what occupation did you apply for?

    Hi mate,

We are also waiting, submitted our application on 24th Jan 2020 - No case officer contact as of yet.

    We are also offshore.

I would imagine it is dependant on occupation and how much of the budget is left for us offshore.

    Fingers crossed.

    Regards,

    Eddie

Hi Eddie and happy New Year!

Man so we are both i n the same boat! Only difference is your's is coming up to a year now waiting for a grant! Hang in there pal, heres hoping for some good news for us all!

Just a quick question, which state did you apply for 190 to and what occupation?

    Kind Regards,

  12. Hi and Happy New Year!

Just thought id create this thread to see if anyone has had a recent 190 Visa granted?

Just some background, I submitted my application in March 2020 (Offshore), now waiting almost ten months. Processing times on the home affairs website is saying 10-13 months. Fingers crossed I get a grant soon, however not sure how about processing given Covid and the current travel restrictions.

    Appreciate any feedback.

    Regards,

    Hi @NQ679,

Wodered if you got a positive result from VETASSESS? I am in a similiar situation.  Only having one year working experience as a management concultant and  Master of Commerce(Finance).  I did take several management units, but just not sure if my qualification will be assessed as" highly relevant" which is very important to me. I heard from others, they said my degree may not highly relevant for  this occupation.

Your guidance will be extremely  helpful,  thanks

    Cheers

    Christy

    Hey Christy!

I ended up applying for a different occupation (Project/Program Administrator) as advised by VETASSESS and got a positive assessment. Your degree in my opinion is highly relevant as I did a Bachelor of Commerce also and took several management units. So long as you have the relevant work experience and proof of this experience (work reference/contracts, salary evidence etc) you should be fine. Have you applied to VETASSESS already?

    Regards,

    N

Good luck dear, My application has been submitted as well two days ago,

I've applied for 190 as well.

have you been able to present a job offer? if not, What did you present as proof of employability?

    where are you from?

    what is your occupation?

I'd love if we Could share the waiting moments.

I'm Egyptian applying for Project Administrator, I have come across plenty of job ads and I applied for some of them, However, nothing progressed into a job offer.

my file is now under (awaiting for admin review) status.

    Hi!

Oh awesome im applying for Project Administrator too! I wasnt able to provide a Job offer however what I did was I searched multiple jobs in my nominated occupation (or closely related occupation) and included them in my evidence of employ ability document. I was able to get some feedback from recruiters and employers also so I added that too. I also explained my qualifications, skills and experience how they match all the roles I applied for and how I would fit into the NT Employment market.

Thats basically all I provided for my evidence of employability. What did you do for your's?

Wishing you all the best in your application! Mine is also under admin review so fingers crossed!

    Keep in touch!

I'm about to apply for NT nomination, my job is on their industry priority list. Is there anyone here has applied recently and got nomination?

How long does it take on average?

Did you apply for 190 or 489 visa type?

Did you have a job offer? I haven't

    Thanks

    Hi!

Ive recently just applied for NT nomination (14/01/19). I applied for 190. I first submitted my EOI via skill select then lodged an online application via the NT migration Portal.

Now the waiting begins! (Fingers crossed!)  How are you progressing with your application?

  17. Hi,

Not too sure if this thread has already been created but, has anyone received an invitation for SC 190 visa for Northern Territory? From what I have read so far, 190 invitations are rarely issued and 489 invitations are the more common. Also, 190 invitations are only given out if there are 'exceptional circumstances'.

    Appreciate any feedback/help!

One year is enough if the underpinning qualification is 'highly relevant'.

For your skilled occupation further years of highly relevant work experience can compensate.

This is to some degree on a case-by-case basis

I see, in your expereince, what are some qualifications that have been assessed as 'highly relevant' to this occupation? Will a Bachelor of Business/Commerce be deemed as highly relevant?

    Kind Regards,

For a positive pre-migration skills assessment in this occupation the academic qualification does not have to be 'highly relevant' depending on the extent of relevant work experience.

May I suggest that you consult a registered migration agent for an assessment?

    Hi,

Well how much work experience is needed? I read that 1 year is sufficient depending on the qualification?

    Kind Regards,

  20. Hi,

I am just after some guidance around the occupation Program/Project Administrator (ANZSCO Code 511112). Has anyone received a positive outcome from VETASSESS for this occupation? I have the experience in this field, working as a Project Manager however I am unsure if my Australian qualification: Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Finance and Macroeconomics) will be assessed as positive. I did undertake Management units in HR, Strategic Management, Management Ethics & Corporate Governance and the list goes on, but just not sure if my qualification will be assessed as 'highly relevant'.

    Appreciate any assistance on this!

    Cheers,

    Nate

Nope! It was submitted almost 11 weeks ago now ?

We've submitted our EOI's anyway as we only needed mine for partner points - could still do with them though so everything is crossed!!

I see, guess the Reassessment process take some time eh?

Just quickly, how many points did you claim for your EOI for 189 and 190 respectively?

    Kind regards,
