  1. Partner visas can be pretty straight forward. They are based on relationship evidence, health and character. If you tick all those boxes it gets approved.

Ideally you want a relationship that is well over a year old known by others, have no serious (as in expensive or TB) health issues and have been on the good side of the law.

If you satisfy that, its just putting it all together in the application - that's the basics of it but best to put forward a well planned and submitted application, that takes some effort to learn.

  2. Sponsor does not need to show any savings.

Save some upload slots in case requested documents need uploading.

Combine several photos per page and a brief narrative about each photo, combine say around 5 pages into a single PDF and upload that. You are looking for quality here not quantity. Photos over time and with others including family and at different locations.

I've replied to your PM should you wish to discuss this further.

    Regards,

    Richard

Apparently they have the services of a RMA based in Melbourne.

But don't wish to discuss the issue with that current RMA.

A new RMA taking service unless the old RMA is terminated is not good practice.

One will assume that the old RMA had a course to respond to allegations.

Most MRA's I know never get involved in another RMA's case till the client has terminated the previous contract.

Something about RMA's being licenced deserve some respect that they operate legally and morally.

Sorry I find this post disturbing in nature on a few levels.

  4. Early Childhood often food is supplied - warm or cold depending on season.

In Schools it is Canteen food or BYO. The Canteen in some can be of great quality, price, hot and cold and limited days or all days.

Many schools also have microwaves for use of students.

But it all depends on the school (some have strict rubbish food restrictions also).

We have PR but our friends on 457's or partner visas pay the same, I am pretty sure all primary and secondary state schools in Victoria just charge for stationary etc, so in the hundreds per year, not thousands...

Private schools are around $25k per year and upwards...

    Thanks Eva,

Seems most visas in Victoria get good access to education at a good price. Just scroll down to the tables.
    http://www.education.vic.gov.au/Documents/school/principals/curriculum/osschstudfee.pdf

Actually Private schools can be cheaper as they can waiver any fees (they did for us to $0 for the PMV period) also full fees can be much less than that - I don't recall exactly but one was around $3500 per year the other around $7000 per year, both very good Catholic and Christian schools.

    Hi!

State schools in Victoria are not charging more for temporary/international residents so that should be less (we pay about $600 a year for primary school)

Biggest expense would be your housing , if you need to be in commuting distance to CBD, I would budget between $750 and $1500 per WEEK depending on your preferences.

    Overall you should be fine!

    Good luck with your decision.

Are you on a Partner Visa Eva?

Also what visa will you be having in Australia Original Poster?

  7. 1) Is your salary monthly? It might actually be $12,307 per 4 weeks.

    2) If you get PR you wont be able to access your superannuation till possible age 70 (in most cases for your current age).

    3) Depending on a few things tax might be a bit higher.

    4) Might need to up this amount for a 3 bedroom house try around $4,000 per 4 weeks.

    5) Could be more like $1,000.

    6)Could be $1250. http://www.study.vic.gov.au/Shared Documents/en/StandardTuition-FeeRateCard.pdf

    7) Depends on individuals but in the ball park.

    8) Should be good with that.

    9) Really depends on where you rent a house.

    10) As above.

    11) Personal circumstance item.

    12) I think you will find this more.

    13) Personal circumstance item.

I have never lived in Melbourne (my sister does) but I would guess that $160,000 per year will be tight while paying international student rate (I assume you will need too, but each state has different rules/policy and I don't know Victoria's. Another thing to confirm is that it is + 9.5% superannuation, if you are paid an award generally the employer has to add the 9.5% but in salary and above award payments often it is included in the total remuneration figure.

Well that was very naughty of you. As a WHV holder you are only allowed to stay with an employer for 6 months. Immigration can ask you to leave if you fail to abide by the rules- I certainly wouldn’t be advertising the fact on a board that Immigration are known to frequent and leading other WHV holders astray isn’t a good move either.

    Maybe not.

"I loved it also they are based in 3 cities Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane"

However, you do not need to seek permission to work with the same employer for up to 12 months, in circumstances where the work is undertaken in different locations and work in any one location does not exceed six months.

For example, you can work with one employer for up to 12 months in the following situations:

    • hotels, resorts or restaurants within the same chain, provided they are in different premises
    • independently owned franchises, in different workplaces
    • State and Territory schools and health care facilities, provided these facilities are at different addresses
    • separate branches or facilities (for example abattoirs or farms) of the same organisation or business owner.
  9. Mate book your offshore thing to Bali and reply to that email and uploads to your immiaccount the same itinerary.

Remind them via immiaccount in departure lounge and advise them as soon as you check into the hotel in Bali, that you are offshore.

Delay your return if visa not granted (decided), but you should get the decision very soon after landing in Bali.

28 days is not relevant as I think you only needed to reply to them within 28 days of that email being sent - but would need to see that email.

    You assume correct.

Both police checks, medical, Bank statements with highlighted transactions, joint travel docs, marriage cert, cards, etc

We did provide a lot of information.

Yes front loaded can have benefits, and my opinion this time of year is best.

But good applications are very important.

Obviously your application proves that applications or not dealt with in order received!

  11. A plan could be to use a temporary visa for the remainder of the wait for the 309 grant.
You can not apply for a long term 6 or 12 months visitor visa on the grounds of wanting to live with your family while you wait for the 309, visitor visas are not granted for those reasons. There is also no work while on a visitor visa and you will need to go offshore for the 309 grant.

Similar to a Visitor Visa is the ETA, it is fast to get (almost instant in cases) and is cheaper. It is valid for 12 months but only has maximum 3 months stays - so you will need to go offshore every 3 months till grant of the 309. There are many cheap offshore destinations from Brisbane for a night or two to rest the ETA.
ETA also has no work rights.

Both visas are issued for about the same reasons - visit family and friends and holiday type activities, so keep that in mind when filling the application.

It is very wise to have a plan B, The number of Family Stream (Partner Visas) is strictly limited each year. Processing is adjusted to try meet these limits - this years limit  has 130 days to go. So after June 30, the processing will read adjust to ?

Even if on a Visitor Visa 600 or an ETA when in Australia you will be entitled to Medicare as you have applied for the 309. This just makes it easier than using the shared health care agreements.

That post is dated April 2017, therefore would apply to the last quarter of te financial year 2016-7

"This was last year. But only 820 applications." :- top line of that comment!

As I said "This was last year!

I never even indicated it was for this year - but sorry for brining it to your attention that - front loaded applications at times can be advantages to some.

Not saying to do it or any other thing, just info for some to use at their discretion. I am sure some would risk a few hundred dollars to save a few months, others not.

I will add that it is very important for the immigration section to meet all the planning levels set for each year, and they will change the normal to achieve that.

  13. Cheers barker.

I was aware it was available from some libraries free of charge.

Don't think the RMA's will be bothered with what you posted all links go to a immiacount login and you need to be authorized for LedgendCOM to read it.

  14. RMA's don't like PAM's to be public knowledge.

I note his very brief comment with no actual info if it is actual out of date by a year reference or any other notation.

But another member seems keen to supply the "out of date" parameters on that such post.

With due respect Nemesis Registered Agents are not always correct - but often are.

So if said RMA wishes to disagree with me then let them, they are more qualified than you, and I will answer their questions happily.  I certainly respect all RMA's

But you are not one but a 6 dot member from what I see. I also will guess never seen a 820 PAM 3 before current or not - but that's normal for most.
