I know what you are trying to say about the skills assessment for direct entry stream. I just think that your limited registration is acceptable for a 457 visa because it is classified as a temporary visa. However, 187 visa are permanent visas and i would think they would need more proof like a skills assessment or full registration.

Hi, We recently got our PR. My parents have visited us a few times before on visitors visa which are multiple entry for 1 year with max of 3 months per visit. How can we apply for a visitors visa for my parents so they can stay for longer than 3 months? Thank you.

Hi Allan, I'm not so sure about this as well but I think you would need a skill assessment done as you are applying under the direct entry stream. You are only exempted from the skills assessment under the transition stream. Just wondering why would the migration agent say that your profession is exempted from skills assessment?
