  1. Well with the high points for this visa which is needed , I’m thinking we won’t ever get accepted. 70 points metal fabricator Do you think we stand any chance ? We haven’t put in for it yet as we’ve had quite a lot going on over the past few months. But with what I’ve been reading over the forum lately I’m wondering if it’s at all possible. We’re looking at the 189 as it’s the perm visa and with 4 children we need the security. Thanks x
  2. Yes plenty more revision, and hopefully fingers crossed all will be well!
  3. Thank you both I’ll try again and fingers crossed , we get the points we need
  4. Results back this morning gutted 8.5 in each category , except writing score of 6 giving overall score of 8! This means no points gained and have to re take the bleeding test again [emoji849]
  5. Yes your right, maybe if my situation were different and they seen him every weekend I wouldn’t dream of taking them away from him... I’d of given my right arm for him to have something to do with mine and have that relationship but he’s just not interested at all.. and it’s such a shame he will be the one who regrets it eventually.
  6. It’s good to read people’s opinions, regarding this matter.. my children are 14 and 13 and haven’t seen there dad for 5 years, he lives a few miles away and as never bothered with them. Not a phone call or anything! Just a useless piece of **** My children want to go.. and I’ve told them what will happen if he doesn’t agree and there both happy to go to court and put there point across if asked... I hope you get things sorted out
  7. No there’s no 190 for Perth for metal fabricator that’s the only downside it would mean going to another state.. that’s the predicament we’re in [emoji21]
  8. Hi just wanted peoples thoughts, what do you think our chances are? Husband is metal fabricator, passed vet assessment. Passed eng exam So in total we have 70 points now, we can not gain anymore points. We are wanting to go to Perth, preferably on a 189 as we have family there but ovs were not sure if we will get accepted due to the points we have as they only want high points with what I’ve read, so to keep our options open we are also thinking of a 190 I’d just like to hear people’s opinions, if they think we would be accepted for the 189 as that’s the one we really want! Thanks Jodie x
  9. Aww that’s brilliant.. I wish you all the very best with everything [emoji5]
  10. Thanks for the reply, no I understand the fees for the visa itself, I just thought you had to have some kind of settlement fees... and show them your assets etc Maybe I have read it wrong somewhere along the line [emoji85] We’re unsure which visa yet as my husband needs to sit the pte once he’s done that and we know where we stand with points then we can move forward with the application! I have already had a quote from pet air for my pooch, so I know where I stand with that.. I’m just trying to get all the info we need at the min
  11. Hi , as were looking towards either the 189 or state sponsorship with nsw for the 190 Does anyone know the funds required for the 190? I have googled but can’t seem to find any information regarding the funds for NSW Thanks [emoji4]
  12. We are still waiting to hear of them, hopefully it won’t be much longer now fingers crossed!! My husband is a metal fabricator, there seems to be more work for his occupation in nsw and Victoria.. I have family over in WA and was hoping to go to Perth to be honest, but it all depends on the points we have when he’s sat the pte then we will know what we’re looking at visa wise.. it’s just so daunting the whole process..
  13. Brilliant thanks for the reply , yes we have looked into doing the pte first.. it’s definitely worth a shot at!! Can I ask what visa your going for ? And where abouts in oz
  14. Hi just wondering on how long the wait is normally for the technical interview?? As anyone got an idea, My husband is applying for the metal fabricator, all relevant evidence as been submitted.... he’s worked for the same employer for the last 20years so it was pretty easy to get all the evidence together really... we also now need to book the English test just unsure on which one to take [emoji85]
  15. Hahaha no I’m up north ? i love the south of England it’s definitely a beautiful place we always go to Torquay ,we did think about going down south but then I still wouldn’t be near my sister... and that’s what I really want.. as well as a nice upbringing for my children.. thanks for replying to me though if I think of any questions I’ll ask you for sure x
  16. I did say money is no object certainly not because of where I live though lol... i live in Oldham and trust me, without swearing Perth is a lot better for my children to be brought up... my 12 year old boy was jumped 6 months ago by a gang of romainans and was threatened to be stabbed because they wanted his mobile phone... my 7 year old can’t go to the local park because it’s full of idiots getting drunk and taking drugs and I do not live in the worse place in Oldham it’s just somewhere where I don’t want to bring my children up and we also want to be closer to my sister and her family... i would want to live close to my sister and she’s in Craigie... I wasn’t being funny I’m just putting my point across.. it wont be easy at all and I understand there will be obstacles along the way I just want to give my family a better way of life..
  17. Thanks Rhea could you please message me thanks Jodie
  18. We defo ain’t looking at it through tinted glasses , we’ve thought about this for over the past 3 years .. my husband is 37, he’s a welder fabricator but also holds iso 9001 , i Bosh, FLT licence, first aid and a degree in management, no health issues with anyone in the family.. i understand where your coming from, and it’s a huge thing to do... i just like to hear other people’s experiences ?
  19. Thanks for your reply , yes we have looked into the cost of the visa and the agent we spoke to is registered.. they was very helpful and told us lots of information regarding the visa and costs... As I say holiday it wasn’t a holiday as such as if you went to a hotel in Spain, we was staying with my sister and her family for the duration.. and I’m dam sure Perth as more to offer than the place where we live now.. I’m thinking of my children’s future to be fair. money is no object either, and if we was granted the 189 Visa my husband will be going alone at first to get a job, secure a home for us all while staying with my sister then we all would follow once things are in place.. the quote I got was of pet air uk who I believe are one of the best and I was happy with the quote they provided us with.. i understand where your coming from it’s a lot of money and hard work.. I just wanted to hear from someone else about it all... we wouldn’t ship anything across, to be honest I would just sell all of our belongings excluding the children’s toys and start a fresh as my sister did.. it won’t be easy but what in life ever is ..
  20. Hi I’m just wondering if someone who as been through the process could give me a little information.. we’ve just been over to Perth to visit my family for a month and it’s totally sold it to us.. we have 4 children... we have been in touch with an agent.. do you guys recommend using an agent?? I know they have added fees on top I just don’t know if we could do it all ourselves as it’s very daunting... the agent advised applying for a 189 visa.. if anyone as done this could you give me some kind of time fame from start to finish, how long it took?? Well we was over in Perth my husband went and met a few employers to find out about wages etc and was offered a job soon as he as his visa so we know we will get work when finally there it’s just getting there lol... we also looked at rentals and also the dif schools in the area we are interested in living.. so now it’s just a case of getting things into action... i have managed to get a quote also for our family dog so I know what she will cost to take over.. it would just be nice to speak to someone who as actually been through it all thanks Jodie x
