I got this info from MA in Darwin
"Our Director and Principal Migration Agent, Manuela Seiberth, attended the information session delivered by the Department of Home Affairs in Brisbane today. Departmental staff gave updates about the new Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS, previous 457) as well as 186 and 187 Visas and the changes in March 2018. Some of the facts that have been alarming is the high refusal rate of 187 RSMS Visas. There has been an increase from 13% in 2016 to 50% of visa applications being refused in 2018!! Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming changes!! "
this is not promising at all

Thanks mazen ? good to know it won’t be a problem to leave the country again.

wish you can hear good news soon regarding your application

Hopefully someone can advise me?
i just logged on to my immi account to see they have updated the processing time to 15-17 months.
I’m currently 15 months into my wait for PR but applied and received a bvb in October that expired last week.
I have a pre planned trip in may to Europe as I never expected the process to take so long (on application process time was 8/12 months) and I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of applying for a second bvb? And basically if I need to be worried or not?
Cheers guys ?
I don't think there is any problem applying for any number of bridging visa B (As long as you pay), it's a permission for leaving Australia and coming back again.
I'm currently 12 months waiting for my PR and having a similar situation and my work requires me to travel overseas so I've to apply for BVB each time.
The question here if the BVB affects the waiting period for the PR or not?!!

RCB approved 22 august 2016
Still waiting for nominationThat's frustrating, 18 months for the nomination !!
I thought the visa takes longer time to wait and the nomination will take around 5-9 months approximately

Hi, guys. I have been a silent follower for quite a long period of time. Just came up a question wana see if anyone could give a suggestion for me would be appreciated.
I have lodged my visa application in early Jul 2017 (nomination had been granted in early Feb 2017, lodged in mid Mar 2016), handed all documents except police clearance at my own country and health examination. Do you guys think I should do the health check now or wait until CO request?
My MA suggested I should wait til it is requested, the reason why is my police clearance cannot be provided by my own nation without an official request, so she thinks I will be requested for police clearance anyway, and so she suggests to wait for request and do both together by the time. My view is to prepare as much as possible, I cannot help with the police clearance but health check can be done. What do you guys think?
FYI if interested: my occupation is marketing specialist
My opinion is to request the Police clearance from your own country's Consulate, I know that It'll take time to prepare but it'll save some hassle with the Case officer and it'll make your profile more complete to proceed faster with your visa application.

I asked how long it gonnabe take nd she said no idea.already 21st month has been started.in my immi account processing time is 15 to 18 months. Very disappointed now... anyone hav idea after 3 years skill assessment any possibility of 190 or 489 visa as cafe nd restaurant manager.
Has your nomination been accepted or not?

there must be a way of speeding up the process, even if the number of applicants is so many
