Yes Pauline I will let you know. State sponsorship is an option but not for me as Queensland is where I am hoping to go. Apparently state sponsorship is available everywhere except Queensland and WA I think we just need to be patient. Where is it your wanting to go? Do you have a job?

Yeh think there could be a long wait. I submitted my eoi 20th October and still not got an invite. I'm a nurse with 65 points. I think a long wait is on the cards [emoji30]

Just wondering if anyone has received there invitation to apply for visa around my timeline? My eoi was submitted end of oct. I am a nurse with 65 points. I know things are running slow but has anyone received there invite around this time or do I still have a long wait? Thank you in advance for any response

I think they mean to have your application for aphra open. Your verification letter only lasts 3 months so if it's not needed before then you will need another one. I have done my skills assessment and needed verification for this because I had not applied for aphra at this time I have had to request it again for this. Don't forget once you get your Australian nurse registration you have to be in the country within 3 months to finalise it. I hope this makes sense?

My eoi was submitted 20th oct. the same as you nurse with 65 points not heard anything yet. Fingers crossed it's soon.

I had to take the academic ielts but maybe that's for the profession I am in. I don't see how it would be though because points are points but general did not count for me

I was wondering a similar thing. I'm due out there in January too and not sure if I should book a hotel to start off with or organise a rental property straight away???
