  1. Hi guys, We got our visa grant today Timeline is as follows: DOL: 16th March 2017 Medicals submitted: 5th May 2017 DOI: 6th November 2017 Additional docs requested: 6th November 2017 Additional docs submitted: 30th November 2017 Visa granted: 22nd December 2017 All the best to everyone waiting, and thanks for the help. Hope you all get your grants soon!
  2. Yeah pretty much the same with me when I called. The guy was quite nice though but gave me the standard answer of processing time. I asked him what the sponsor status being approved means. He said on his end he can see it appearing to be sponsorship finalized but I should ignore that since it doesn't mean that the application has been finalized. Let's see what happens in the new year now
  3. Let me know if they give you anything other than the annoying standard reply when you call
  4. Interview was on 6th November. Took me a while to submit additional documents; finally submitted everything on the 30th. They asked for two form 888, two affidavits from Pakistan, latest polio certificate for me (the applicant), updated police check for my husband (the sponsor - we had submitted his previous police check but that had expired in July), and an updated relationship statement from both of us. I applied from Karachi but got my interview call when I had moved to Singapore.
  5. Yeah she did back in August but took her a little over 10 months as well. I honestly don't think it made any difference except that this is an option too if anyone wants to take it. My status changed to approved either on Thursday or Friday since it wasn't there when we last checked on Wednesday. I guess it's a waiting game once again
  6. That's quite strange. My husband is the authorised contact but I've emailed them a few times myself and I've always received a reply, even if it's just a standard reply. But I've usually kept him copied in those emails so that could also be the reason they replied to me. Not sure if it'll work the same way with agents though. My friend some time back just changed the authroised contact from the agent to herself when she felt there was a delay in communication reaching her because of the agent. But this is some months back
  7. what does the status 'approved' in front of the sponsor's name mean? that's all it's showing on his ImmiAccount and there's no longer a link to upload attachments. On my account though I can still see assessment in progress. I think this is a recent change because when we logged in last to submit additional documents it kept appearing as submitted next to the sponsor's name. Somebody give me something good to go by please
  8. Yeah that seems like a weird reason that it'll have a negative impact on your case. I don't understand why that would happen. I wrote a very detailed email explaining my situation which my husband thought made it sound like I'm begging for my visa so we toned it down a bit but gave them all the facts and requested for an update, if any. I'm still not hopeful of getting an update (other than the standard reply) but at least we tried
  9. I lodged it myself through ImmiAccount. We just replied on the email the CO had sent. There were two email addresses in it - one for the Islamabad embassy and one was correspondence @ border (i'm somehow unable to type in the complete email address). I basically emailed them that we have uploaded all required documentation and I'm now being considered for a transfer from my office in Singapore to my office in Australia so need to see if they have any update for me. It's a long shot but we thought it made sense to at least try. If they ask for some proof for what I'm claiming about my job then I have that as well. We addressed the email to the CO - wrote his name and his position number. Let's see if we get a reply or not. My PCC is expiring end of January so just trying our luck here now
  10. how long do case officers generally take to respond, if at all? we emailed ours on Monday and still haven't heard back. I know this that whenever I've contacted anyone they've always responded even if they had just a standard answer to give
  11. Haha my medical is expiring in May but my PCC is expiring end of January so I'm hoping that might get me a faster grant All the best with your new life!
  12. Hey Hiba, Many congrats on the grant Can you let us know what's the initial entry date given? I applied almost the same time as you but submitted the additional information requested just last week but your post gives me hope
