  1. Thanks asim but immi account was of solicitor. How could i do this updates and all?

You will get a Visa grant letter, with a grant number that you can check online on VeVo. You can update your details using your passport number, grant number and your date of birth anytime you like. Or you can submit a form for change of details (can be located on immi’s webpage). Or if you are at good terms with your consultant then you can ask him/her to update as well. But when its your time to apply subclass 100, they send a letter of invitation to apply for the visa as well as an email to the applicant and your former/current (if you still want him/her to act on your behalf) consultant.

  2. And if application for 309 was done with solicitor, so should i have to apply again through solicitor or i can apply by myself. And if i can apply myself than should i have to make a new immi account? as last one was of solicitor...
    Kind regards.

From the date of entry on 309, you will receive a reminder in two years to apply for 100. And no, you dont need to apply through solicitor. You can apply your 100 yourself. Even if you want to do it again through solicitor they will charge you their consultancy fee again.
Make sure to keep updating your contact details on immi account if you move houses or change email addresses,

  4. Yes I attached the Acknowldge letter of Spouse visa for Tourist visa Application

First off, i will be expecting the decision on your spouse visa by first week of november as on average most recent visas were granted in 10 months mark..

If she was not working and had no job to go back to, and your only argument was that she is waitin on her spouse visa then its hardly possible for case officers to grant a secondary visa (visitors visa) that extends longer then the average duration of your principle visa (spouse visa). But its hard to predict the basis of their decision.

Anyway, I really hope you get your visa within november. Wish you all the best.

  5. Thanks Asim but our intended dateof arrival was end of November and with 6 months of visa she had time till end of May
She can travel till end of December via thai airways as they allow travel till 34 weeks
If they dnt grant by December then he should not give me visa in January so that I can include my child with this application and that will save time and money (child visa)

In your application did you notify the time you applied for a spouse visa?? Date of lodgement?

  6. Hi Maria,
Well it all depends on the mood of the case officer as well. Did you apply for Independent or Family Sponsored tourist visa? Also is it 3 months or 6 months? They only want to know one thing when you apply for a tourist visa
Provide us a solid proof that you will return back

My wife was doing her House Job when we applied for first time so i had a letter from hospital that she is working full time and will go back

This time around she was not working and case officer thought she will not go back

So yeah depends on the mood of case officer

Case officers generally dont take decisions based on mood but certain circumstances such as in your case, your wife is way ahead in pregnancy.

Lets hope your wife gets her spouse visa earlier but case officers take standard average time as a rule of thumb, which is 8 to 12 months currently. And your wife will not be allowed to fly three months (12 weeks for some airlines) before her expected deliver date. Also on spouse visa, a must entry date is mostly a day before applicants medical and polio certification expires which in your case is 18 January.

For visit visa case officer they must have weighed in that from december your wofe will not be allowed to fly and so she cant exit and re-enter before the “must arrive” date of 18th January. Whichmeans you will have to request extension or apply for special circumstances to extend the “must arrive before date”.. they must have checked all boxes and then decide.

It is just my opinion, n i can be wrong..

  7. Finally, they interviewed my wife today [emoji4]
    Date of Application (Online): 01/12/2016
    Interview Date: 11/10/2017
The questions were linked to our future plans, birth place and date of our kid, our date of NIKAH and RUKHSATI.
They also asked about my job details. The questions were also linked to where do we live and how I financially support her.

    Fingers Crossed [emoji4]
    Regards,
    Henry

Did they request any additional documents or indicated that they will request something soon??
Because my wife had her interview last week and she was told they will request more documents and they did request it in a few hours after that.

    Wish you all the best

  8. Hi All,

I need a advise. I am from high rish country. I have lived in UAE in 2014 for 7 months. I have bad debts (credit card and personal loan) in UAE, i flew back to my country with them and have not paid yet. I am now married to Australian partner and i intend to apply for 309/100.

My question is it going to harm my partner visa of Australia due to this bad debts in UAE as this is the criminal conviction in UAE.

    Please guide. Thanks

As part of your 309 application, you will be requested to present police clearance from each country you have lived in last 10 years.. i am not sure if your credit will come up as a criminal offence.. if it does, then you will have it on your police certificate from UAE, you might have trouble..

  9. Hello Guys!
i need advice regarding the polio vaccination,
its written in my visa 'it is advisable to have your polio vaccination four weeks before travel'
but I already have vaccination card and it's valid till January 2018, so I want to ask is that previous one works or should I have another polio vaccination card?
    Please advise...as I'm travelling on 17th October Insha'Allah

No one checks this at the airport (atleast i never heard of. Dont worry and travel without vaccination.

  11. @Rida fouad Congratulations on your visa, and what email address did you send your email to and did you include your application number or how did you notify your application in the email?

I applied my wife's visa a month after you on 22nd February 2017. We have not been allocated to a Case Officer yet. It is going to be exactly 7 months tomorrow. It is just getting a bit frustrating that we have not even received any indication that it is even being processed.

  12. Hey everyone.....

I have got today after 10 month email from the Dept. of immigration request me to apply new police clearance for my sponsor this time. For visa 309/100....from each country that he had lived 12+ months in the past 10 years ....

And I have 28 days to submit the police clearance....

As per my agent in Australia said this is new laws allowing to request police clearance from parter visa sponsor.. since last 2016 November.

So I just feel like to keep in update guys..

And I hope to Grant my Visa soon
    InSahallah.
    ??????

I am a little confused, you mean Applicant and Sponsor both need to submit a police clearance?

  13. Hi @Lyly,

As you are married for 5 years with 2 kids, you fit the long term relationship description. In that case, you will not get 309 but you will get permanent residency 100 instead. and that takes really long time, at this stage 309 is taking 13+ months and subclass 100 takes 22+ months. I assume you have already spent 1 year, so you got on average 10 more months to go.

Please check average processing time on the following link,

    https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/309-/Partner-(Provisional)-visa-(subclass-309)-and-Partner-(Migrant)-visa-(subclass-100)-document-checklist#tab-content-0

    All the Best,

    Kind Regards,

    Asim

  14. I spoke to my immigration consultant yesterday, he said on average 309 visa is being granted in between 1 year to 18 months. And i check on immigrations' website and it says on average 75% of cases were closed in 13 months.

For us it was exactly 6 months yesterday.. so we got plenty of wait..

thought to share it with y'all.
