Hi guys, we were contacted on 11.11.18 with a request for further information...sponsors UK and Aus Police checks and a certified copy of my full birth certificate (which I had to order...didn't realise the one I had wasn't a full one!). All submitted and went into further assessment on 29.11.18 so back to the waiting game.
Thanks to everyone who mentioned being asked for police checks, it meant we already had ours ready for when the request came through! Saved loads of time.
Good luck GemTrae hope u get some good news before Xmas [emoji4]- 1

Hi guys, well, we've gone from received to "initial assessment" today and been asked for more information, namely any countries my partner (the applicant) has lived in for more than 12 months for past ten years (he's only lived in England so that one is easy), and more proof of our relationship.
I am really surprised as we applied in August, but it does seem like they are putting on a big push before the end of the year to clear or move to the next stage as many applications as possible.
Not sure what more "proof" we can give them of our relationship as I've given them 3 affidavits, 14 pages of timestamped screenshots and photos etc from ours and our friends social media since we got together 7 years ago, receipts of all our joint travel and holidays, and full statements explaining how we met, the development of our relationship, how we run our household etc. We don't have any joint finances at the moment as I moved into my partners house (so mortgage and bills were in his name) and we share one car which is in my name and I pay for sky and groceries. Any ideas what else we can send them? One of our pals suggested a sex tape but I don't think I'd wish that on anyone!! [emoji38]
Hi Ausgirl42 Just a thought but if you are sharing a car, wouldn’t your partner be named on the insurance, also correspondence for either of you at the same address is always helpful. Also do you have things like pensions for example showing each other as beneficiaries. Hope this helps a little [emoji4] I think the sex tapes shouldn’t be ruled out, but I’d try a few other avenues first [emoji6]- 2

It does seem like they approve them in batches - I received my grant yesterday as well. Applied end of April, further info requested 1st November, visa grant 30th November.
Good of luck to all still waiting, I know your pain!
Congratulations, good to see more happy people [emoji5]- 1

Congrats[mention=267521]laf[/mention] that is fab news. I hope you are right this is awful ..... I will be so relieved when it's all over. I may write to Santa see what he can do!!!!!
There seems to be a few grants being issued that were asked for further info, I reckon they will try to churn out a few prior to Christmas, I doubt you’ll wait much longer Katie, there’s no harm in giving Santa a nudge though [emoji4]- 1

Congratulations BacktoOz!! I also received mine this afternoon. Both the 309 and 100. So relieved. Have to arrive before 23 March so can now look forward to a summer trip.
Thinking of all you still waiting. Katiebobbles you will be next I'm sure.
Hoooooooooooorahhhhhhh .... couldn’t be happier for you, such great news. It’s been a long wait, now you can relax a little and celebrate at last [emoji898][emoji322]- 2

Hi all,
Well most bizarrely and unexpectedly we got our visa today!
It was unexpected because we were asked for police clearances (extra ones as my husband had declared some convictions in other countries) and we uploaded these exactly a month after they were requested. Then straight away the CO emailed our agent asking for us to sign a further disclosure form which was weird but asked to give permission for NZ police to confirm how many "letters of police clearance we had received (still don't understand this relevance) but we signed it electronically and sent back same day. Our agent told us it was uploaded but that it would likely take time for them to process the form then request the info from NZ etc (plus NZ were the ones we waited for an entire month for the police clearance) but we received the grant the next day!! That is bizarrely quick without factoring time differences in!! We had all just recovered from a housewide sick bug and put our Xmas decorations up when we got the email at 5pm so we are currently celebrating! Our timeline below for interested sake:
Lodged 12 April 2018
Info req: 29 Oct 2018
Submitted: 29 Nov 2018
Further form to sign and submitted: 29 Nov 2018
Grant received: 30 Nov 2018
Wonderful news, congratulations [emoji4]- 1

Hey guys! I am also a long time lurker (too lazy to sign up lol) but had to share we just had or 309 and 100 granted this afternoon from UK! 4.5 months from lodgement!!
I am Aussie (sponsor) and partner is from Mauritius. Long story short is that we moved to UK together as our onshore partner visa was refused in 2015 due to schedule 3 requirements. Finally worked up the courage and money lol to apply again and lodged July 5th. Front loaded and included all our refusal paperwork etc as well. We had help from Partner Visa Academy (highly recommended) but was not expecting it so quickly until we saw all of the approvals on this thread this week!
Thanks for giving us hope and best of luck with all your applications. Hard to hang in there but its all worth it in the end. xxx
I should add we are not married and no kids and have been together 5 years
Congratulation great news. -
I’m so sorry I’ve quoted laf’s reply, it was supposed to be in response to Samie97 [emoji849]
-
It was just a basic health check, height, weight, stethoscope, discussion about health records, then being asked if there's any health-related concerns I needed to add.
As I'm a non-smoker I can't comment on whether they take this into account. I imagine there might be some smokers who have been awarded their visas that can answer.
They take blood too. Not sure if you know but you don’t actually see your results. You’ll be able to see on your immi account that the results are back and if all ok it tells you no further action is required. Women over 40 have a breast examination too but for some reason I didn’t have this, no idea why! -
Fingers crossed as soon as AFP check is done they will be that quick. We're going to fly to oz at the start of Jan.
I have my fingers crossed for you too, we booked a flight a while back in the hope we’d have the visa in time, fortunately it paid off.- 1

Brilliant news hearing all these visas getting approved. How long did people have to wait after submitting more evidence for visa to be approved? (Wish the Australian police check would hurry up)
Hi ATE,
Just over a week, I think I was just incredibly lucky, my additional evidence arrived quickly and I uploaded it immediately, perhaps they were just keen to see the back of me [emoji6] -
Looks like the visa team had their weetabix yesterday as I got my 309 and 100 through as well. I applied in UK on 25th June with police checks and medical loaded soon after that. Hope this flurry of activity continues and those waiting hear good news soon!
Congratulations GB1978[emoji898]- 1

Boom!
Just received 309 and 100 too this afternoon. As above no contact, applied 28th June. Actually still awaiting sponsors police checks as only ordered them last week so quite shocked it's come through without question!
Everything else was front loaded, so that was pretty slick given we saw 20+ months in July as the waiting time [emoji3]
Congratulations, especially without police checks [emoji15] fab news.- 1

Just received my golden email 309 immediately followed by 100 visa grant!
no prior contact, we applied 30th June
I am flying out 30th December for a visit and March for good, applied evisitor visa a few weeks ago but that's not needed anymore!!
So excited [emoji898]
Congratulations and wish you all the best for your future[emoji5] -
I read this post the other day and secretly hoped that it would be our week. I didn’t want to jinx it and write anything, but we got our 309/100 tonight!! I’ve actually already arrived in aus now and my hubby (the applicant) is heading out in a couple of weeks! Thank goodness for that!! All the very best to everyone waiting. Fingers crossed that the waits are quick, boringly normal and that your lives in Aus are full of happiness.xx.
Wonderful news, congratulations [emoji898] -
That’s great Thankyou so much. Going to be a while for us yet as we currently waiting for date for the appeal so going to be a while
I hope your appeal goes well and you don’t have to wait too long, it’s been quite an ordeal for you, very unfair, keep us informed of any developments and good luck [emoji4] -
Has anyone had there saving etc checked for a partner visa and if I don’t have savings will this be an issue as we are moving in with the in-laws when we move and I will have a job already lined up for when we get approved.
Hi Ben34uk
We were never asked to provide any proof of savings, however we did submit proof of current earnings. I don’t think evidence of savings is a requirement for this visa, my visa was granted without it.- 1

So confusing! I called the IMMI help line and the guy was as equally confused and told me to do both just in case. Ah! I just don’t want there to be hiccups to delay this thing even more. Let you know how I go anyway.
Hi Anda,
I never responded to the email just followed the same procedure as Laf, adding evidence to sponsors page and pressing grey button, I’ve been approved without any problems, hope this helps.- 2

I also clicked and nothing happened till I clicked again then it greyed out. The website's not designed to give confidence!
The only thing it’s given me is extra wrinkles and a few more grey hairs [emoji6]- 1

Yes, there was a button and then a warning. Thanks for checking. I clicked and clicked again.
Wonderful [emoji106]

Hello there,
Each person completes an 888 which has room for their statement... once completed it has to be certified by someone on the approved list. If there’s not enough room for their statement it can go on to a second sheet. I had three witness statements which were all approved without any problem. Hope this helps.
