    Hi Arhan, Both the partner visa and the visitor visa are mutually exclusive where one visa does not affect the other. However I have read of cases where the applicant was in Australia during the last few months of the processing period, and the finalization of the partner visa was delayed until the applicant left Australia. This may be the only risk for you since by the time your wife enters Australia in January, 9 months would already have passed since lodgement. So answering your question, if she is in Oz at the time of the decision, they will not reject it. They will just notify your wife to go offshore.

    I got my visa recently. I was not in any way related to my husband before we got married. In Form 40 SP my answer to this question was "Yes - related by marriage"

    Thank you very much! same to you all inshallah On 3/5/17 we noticed that the sponsor's status on Immi changed to Approved On 11/5/17 the visa was granted. But please bare in mind that we applied from Cairo so timelines may be a bit different to Pakistan

    We received our 309 visa grant today! Such a happy day for us alhamdulillah. Brace yourself, yours is on it's way :-)

    Hi everyone, I have been a silent reader of this forum, and it has been very useful to me thanks to the genuine input of all of its members. So now I have decided to create an account too and share my experience through this visa process. 309 Partner Application: Online - Offshore from Egypt. All documents were submitted upfront including medical *Date of Lodgement: 2nd February, 2017. *Biometrics taken and Original PCC's delivered: 7th February, 2017 *First got to know we have a CO: 28th March, 2017 *Sponsor status changed to "Approved" on Immi and link to attach documents disappeared: 3rd May, 2017
