I've applied for the 190 on 29th June. They've processed some up until 23rd June but just seem to have stopped at that point. Feels so close, it's so hard not to keep checking!!

Hope things pick up again soon. Good luck!!

Yeah.. am getting impatient too. Good luck to you too! Please update on here if you hear something! :)

  2. Haha i thought i was the only one. I have submitted for the 189 visa in July 2018 and am seeing few July applicants getting grants and CO contacts. What visa have you applied for? Yes, i have to agree about the process being slow for the past couple of weeks. Its just making me more anxious and nervous.

  3. Hello,

I failed my IELTS too and gave PTE a shot. I prepared for this completely from the below website. They have a Youtube channel too and practice exercises for all kinds of questions. I got 87 overall score which gave me the superior English score.

Hope this helps. Be calm for the exam as every second counts and u need to be mentally present for this.

    Good Luck!

Its a year from when you do them. So if you do them early, before they are actually requested, you are shortening the probable time you will get for validating.

    Hello Nemesis,

I lodged my application on July 12th and submitted all the forms and PCC except my medicals. Do you think its better to go ahead and get the medicals done or should i wait for a CO to actually request that from me?

I am a bit confused as i am also reading that once the CO contacts you for anything then you go back in the pool and will be waiting again for a long time.

Also, i am seeing a lot of Direct grants. So this means these applicants have uploaded all the required documents upfront yeah?

Would be great if anyone could provide some clarification.

    Thanks,

    Sonia

Oh wow, Congrats! I am about to lodge my application in a day or two for 189 with 75 points. Hoping all goes smoothly. So this means you got a direct grant yeah?

    Cheers,

I also lodged two weeks ago with all documents! Everything has been so quick up until lodging, fingers crossed it continues... ??

Hello, did you have to get all the attachments for the application certified by a lawyer? I am in the process of submitting my application and my agent asked me to proceed without certification. But i would like to confirm.

    Thanks,

    Sonia

  7. Hello,

Could anyone please let me know all the documents required to be submitted along with the visa application for 189 invite? Will just my application form and payment do to secure my application and later on upload all the other documents?  I have been given 3 forms also to fill (80.1221, 1281).

I would like to know if i need to submit my birth certificate with the application or can i later on upload it as i will need to get this translated and attested and this document is currently not with me in the country i reside.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sonia

I never used an agent in the end, I’ve received my 190 invite. I think that is a rip off because the decision to invite is up to the state and at no extra cost. When you submit your EOI on skills select some states will automatically invite you for 190 others like Victoria you have to apply on their website. Victoria EOI is free. I have 65 without the extra 5 for nomination. With 70 you stand a better chance of getting invited for 189

Thank you very much for your reply. I was worried if i did this myself, things would be more delayed. Neways thanks for the info I will check with my agent to provide the clarification for the additional cost.

Congrats on getting ur invite. Hoping to get mine too.

    Cheers,

    Sonia

Actually have 65 points and can get 70 if nominated for 190. Think it might be wise to engage an agent at this point.

Hello, can you please let me know if the agent charged you with an extra 150AUD for going through state nomination? I am applying for Analyst Programmer with 70 points but my agent said i could go with the state nomination and get 5 points more but with an additional cost of 150 $. Can anyone please confirm if this is the case for all under 190 visa? Thanks a lot.

  10. Hello Leanne,

Thank you for the quick reply. I have not initiated the immigration process and went to meet with an agent to learn more about this. That's when she gave me all this cost breakdown. The amount i specified are without the agency fees. She will be charging me separately for that.

    Best Regards,

    Sonia George
