  1. Hi everyone,

My visa got approved this afternoon! :jiggy:

If you want the details I'm Richo on the June2016 worksheet on the spreadsheet. The forum has been fantastic in terms of sharing information and knowing that I'm not the only one going through it so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the forum and everyone who has entered their details on the spreadsheet. To all the silent watchers you should join in and share too.

I really hope everyone's applications get approved soon especially @MANSON, @jesse6, @Lizzielizzie, those people on bridging visas and those people who have been waiting longer than 6 months. The waiting really is quite tough mentally and certainly it is frustrating especially when other people who applied months after you with on what on face value look like very similar applications get their applications approved.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the equivalent citizenship forum in about a years time!

    Richo

  2. Wow Tim, CONGRATS! Same occupation but we lodged APR and case has not even been allocated yet! Was your application via the Direct Entry or Transition stream?

It really feels like they just skipped APR cases and decided to finalise May-July first. :( In saying that, if memory serves, the automated email was advising that they were processing FEB applications since maybe September or even August??

Also, we frontloaded all requirements (and more!) so our application is really just waiting...hitting 300 days by next week! Don't even know how I feel anymore.

    Hi Lizzie,

300 days that's tough... It has been 228 days since my nomination was issued (which is less than you and many others) and I issued what my MA considers is a decision ready visa application 5 days later. There is such little transparency provided in relation to the processing of residency applications which makes the whole process a much more stressful than it needs to be. It would be good to know and to be able to track our positions in the queue.

  3. **This is an automated response regarding ENS 186/RSMS 187 applications. Please do not respond to this email**

Email Updated on 23 January 2017

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We are currently allocating ENS/RSMS cases lodged between March and June 2016, however not all cases in this date range have been allocated.

You may be contacted when your case is allocated or if further information is required. Please note that we will not respond to status enquiries.

Did the previous message say we are currently allocating ENS/RSMS cases lodged between February and June 2016? If so they have processed a month of the backlog.

    Thank you for sharing!

  4. An MA will answer this question better than me :)

If the application is rejected, you could appeal I guess or find another job. I do not think you can apply for 189 visa if you are not on the SOL.

But I mean, that's pretty bad for your employer if the application is rejected! Obviously if they sponsor you it's because they need you.

And why would the department reject the 186 visa if you are already on 457 under the same occupation?

Again, you may want to ask a Migration Agent because I am not a specialist :)

    Hi Manson and Jess6,

Thank you for your posts. I'm really happy with my application but I've found it always pays to know your options just in case.

I've had a look at bridging visas B, C and D and a couple look potentially viable. I'll check out the tourist visa option too.

I'll ask my MA but I like to be prepared.

  5. How about in this financial year 2016, we can increase the profit and do a appeal.

    Hi,

You should be taking professional advice from a migration agent or you should speak directly to the DIBP as clearly have a problem with your application. Either way I'm sure that your company isn't allowed to manipulate profits for the purpose of a submitting a residency application.

  6. @Richo Sorry I am not sure to understand :)

Hi Jess, I'm fishing for info:

1 - Assuming your occupation is on the CSOL what are the options to stay in the country short term if you were on a 457 visa and you end up on Bridging Visa A and then your application is rejected.

2 - Assuming your occupation is on the CSOL what are the options/routes to residency if you were on a 457 visa and you end up on Bridging Visa A and then your application is rejected.

I think my application is fine but I'd like to know my options just in case!

  7. Hi guys,

I am glad to inform that my visa was granted on Saturday (21/01/2017). I was surprised that CO called me to inform about the finalisation of the application, followed by email with the grant letter.

    Nom/Visa Applied: 20/06/2016

    Transition HR

    Occupation: ICT Support Officer

    Visa Granted: 21/01/2017

No document asked, straight from Received to Finalised.

I have been a silent follower all this time but this forum has been so helpful in terms of knowing the progress in the queue and keeping calm during the waiting game.

I have updated June 2016 spreadsheet with all the relevant information. Those waiting, hope you all get your PR soon.

    Cheers,

    AA

    Hi Virani, congratulations!

  8. Guys!! Very happy to know that my application has been finalised today! They asked for updated company documents e.g BAS, then state changed to finalised after 6 working days! The waiting is over! Every dog has its day guys, don't be stressful.

Congratulations neverwinter - fantastic news and its a DE approval! What is your occupation?

I had a look on the shared spreadsheet and I noticed that the May 2016 worksheet has been deleted! I'm sure someone knows how to recover this but unfortunately I don't!

  9. Yes, it just happened this week - waiting under visa A is pretty stressful.

I changed employer under my 457 visa, and my 457 visa expired a few months before my 2 years anniversary with my current employer.

That explains why I am a 186 Direct Entry applicant and not a 186 transition applicant.

But overall I have been here for over 4 years - Working Holiday Visa, then 457 sponsorship.

The irony is that I could also go through De facto with my Australian partner but I want to earn my visa because I am hard working not because of my relationship status.

    Hi Jess6 & LeeThompson,

Apologies for the slow reply. I hope it works out for you both. The reason I asked is that I'm not too far away from going on to bridging visa a myself. I worked for a company for 1.5years and then the business sold (ABN changed) and although I do the same job in the same place because the ABN changed the 2 year transition clock was reset. I chose to go the DE route (with 9 months left on my 457) as I felt it was quicker although I could have waited to complete the 2 year transition with the new abn and submitted an PR application under the transition route in November/December 2016. I hoping that the decision to make a DE application doesn't turn out to be a decision that I regret later.

As per your reply I know there are travel issues associated with bridging visa A and that if an application is rejected then you have a stay of 28 days in Australia before you have to leave but what I am not sure about is what the general options are to apply for temporary/permanent residency assuming your occupation is CSOL listed.

Has anyone looked in to these options?

  10. She was transition (I added her case in the spreadsheet) but again, I do not think it is related to this, I think it's pure perception because we are DE.

Some DE get approved in 6 months, some transition take a year.

It could be the occupation but again some marketing specialists got approved in 6 months.

I agree with you, the vagueness is really what makes the anxiety growing. We should be given a deadline after 6 months wait, especially when we have been working in the country for several years and therefore contributing to the growth of the Australian economy.

I now need to apply for a visa to be allowed to visit my family in Europe while I have been working here for 4 years and a half, paying taxes etc.

If they do prioritise transition visa, this is quite hilarious because DE visa like us, onshore and working here for a certain amount of time, have been through skill assessment.

    Hi Jess6,

Are you on Bridging Visa A?

  11. Hi my name is harry, I logged my both visa and nomination 186 direct stream as a cook on 2nd may 2016. My current status is still showing received. Can anyone tell me How long it will take more to get visa granted, as it's 263 days now.

    Hi Harry,

We all seem to be getting similar feedback from Dept and/or our MAs in that the Dept is processing applications submitted between Feb and June but there is no intel available regarding when an individual application will be allocated to a CO for processing.

  12. Hello Guys,

I am new to the Form

    My details as follow:

    186 Direct Entry Stream

    Nomination 09/06/2016

    Application 11/06/2016

    HR, 2 ppl

    Occupation: University Lecturer

    Nomination approved on 05/01/2017

    Document requested on 09/01/2017

Form 1221 for myself and overseas police clearance for my wife even though I have already upload it. I have contacted immi on same day and they asked on how we obtained police clearance, I have explained that it was through the Australian embassy on hometown. They requested to send them an email explaining the situation. Form 1221 was uploaded on the same day. An email was sent to them also on the same day.

Please someone add my details to the list. I wish I knew about this forum long ago.

    Thanks

    AA

    Hi AA1986,

Welcome to the Forum! Hopefully you police clearance clarifications result in you application being approved really soon.

As a June DE applicant thank you for sharing your application status.

  13. yes, she was referring to these slots.. as we see in the forum too most of them getting their apps opened .. we should believe and even our spread sheet shows most of April finishing.. contacted MA about my occupation likecustomer service Manager.. these ones

The last application was from APril and one chef from may.so let's hope the best

    Thanks for clarifying.

The spreadheet is an interesting sample.

  14. Hi guys, following this forum silently from a while.

I'm on June 2016 spreadsheet with the name of 'AA'. Applied 20/6/2016 Nom and Visa TRN 'ICT Support Officer'

I haven't heard anything back from immi and the application status says 'Received'. Other June guys have received their grants who have applied after me so really worried why I am being skipped.

According the spreadsheet, there are two other guys (SAMEER and JuneJuneWala), both with TRN application, are experiencing the similar behaviour as mine. Are you guys on the forum?

Has anyone else know how the files are being picked?

I don't think you have been skipped. It is more likely due the volume of applications received. Last year the DIBP processed around 3000 ENS applications per month. They are processing applications submitted between Feb and June 2016.

  15. Today finally my day come. I got call from my MA that I got my PR today. I can't explain the happiness and joy. After almost 9 years in Australia, I got PR. Wish you all the best to all my mates here in this forum. This forum really amazing and helped me a lot. Just hanging there guys your time will come soon.

    Timeline:

    Nom and Visa: 30/06/2016

    Transition Stream

    HR- 2

    Nom and Visa granted: 18/01/2017

    Occupation: Graphic designer

    NSW

    No documents requested.

    congratulations!

  16. Just spoke to MA and Immi (cool head).. Immi is on run finishing June apps and may is next ..she doesn't know and feels it's random depending on the PSE and expect may apps being finalised by end this month as the Immi is on rush to clear as many apps are due to one year (police checks, health documents,etc).. so good news as the newly trained CO's recruited are on desk (they were short staffed earlier). Congratulations to all the finalised application.good luck.

    Hi Braindead,

When you spoke with the lady from Immi and she advised that there is "a run finishing June apps and may is next" was she referring to applications submitted in June 2016 and May 2016?

  17. I spoke to my MA today and she told me that the latest approval she has received so far is for the application lodged in last week of June. Even her colleagues confirmed that. She said that there is a high chance that immi is trying to finish as many applications as possible for the last financial year before starting applications for the current financial year.

Hi abhi1234 - thank you for sharing the feedback from your MA.

I know the DIBP issue a report each year on the number of permanent and temporary visas granted. Does anyone know when this report is issued?

  18. not in au yet, Richo, im aware that both 186 and 457 have their downs and ups, based on what u mentioned here, some of which r new to me thanks btw, 186 seems to be a better choice, hope the waiting could end earlier to us, fingers crossed

    finger crossed mate.

good news about May2016. Lets hope the Feb thru June allocation system finds June again soon!
