  3. Hi all! Got my assessment letter earlier in the day! And my invite just a few minutes back!
  4. Cleared my DWK Oral Examination from Melbourne today.. Appreciate the effort all the member are putting in this forum. Thanks a lot again! How many days does AMSA take to issue the assessment letter? I know it is 28 days but, what is the best timeline till date?
  5. Hey! I got my BS Nautical Technology assessed from VETASSESS and received a positive outcome 2 days back. It is a fairly quick process. You shouldn't face any problems with that.

  7. Thank you sir! Any idea about how much time HKG and Indian PCC takes to come? Also, I've sailed for 4.5 months on Panama and 6 months on Marshall Islands flagged vessels. Hope PCC for these are not necessary.. Jasjeet

  10. Hello Sir, I was going through your posts in this thread. You mentioned that you were able to get your MSc assessed by Vetassess. I have a bachelors - B.S. Nautical Technology. Will AMSA be able to assess it or will I have to apply to Vetassess? Though Vetassess is not the assessing authority for our profession, how were you able to get it assessed? Thanks
  11. Dear CaptR and CaptAmit, I am appearing for my CoR orals - Watchkeeper on 15th November 2016 from Melbourne. I have my Medical on 10th November 2016. Can you please guide me on the following : 1. Do I have to visit AMSA center directly on the day of the examination? Or do I have to visit at an earlier date for document verification? 2. What is the dress code that candidates usually follow? 3. Can you help me by providing a set of questions they ask to a candidate sitting for Watchkeeper Certificate? 4. I have a total seatime of 28 months (14 months as cadet + 14 months as Third Mate) ranging from 30th Dec 2012 to 31st August 2016. I have an experience letter from my employers. Will they consider the entire duration as my work experience? 5. I have a graduate degree in B.S. Nautical Technology from BITS Pilani, India. Will AMSA be able to assess it for me? Or do I have to apply to Vetassess? (In order to get those extra 5 points) 6. Ques for CaptAmit.. Sir, where do you plan to sit for your exams? Thanks in advance.
