  3. I spoke to my MA today and she told me that the latest approval she has received so far is for the application lodged in last week of June. Even her colleagues confirmed that. She said that there is a high chance that immi is trying to finish as many applications as possible for the last financial year before starting applications for the current financial year.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I have a question... If someone has applied for 186 visa and wants to go on couple of weeks leave without pay, will that have any impact on the application given its already in progress? The 457 visa is still valid so there is no bridging visa needed.

  5. Our MA has the login so we can't check as they do others in the workplace too can we create our own login too or not?

You can create your own login on the immi website and then import your visa application. However, you can only track your visa application. Nomination application can only be tracked by your MA. So, unless there is any progress in your nomination, you will not know what's happening.

  6. Hi,

Employer nomination has a lot of confidential information about your employer. So, only MA will have access to that. You will only be able to track your Visa application. Nomination can only be tracked by the MA. Hope that helps.

    Hello People,

I am new to the forum. Does anyone know if we can check the nomination of employer is been approved or not. My MA is saying that Visa will have to wait as my employer nomination is not yet approved. I can see my status online but have no visibility of nomination. This is for 457 transition category.

  7. I dont think that's true. Immi will only be closed during public holidays i.e. 26 Dec, 27 Dec, 28 Dec and 2nd Jan. Some people will be on vacation (most likely 26th to 30th Dec) but immi will not be shut down completely. So, there will be a slow down but work wont stop.

Hi shiv thakur immi holiday supposed to start from 23 dec till 9 jan but most of staff will start from 16 jan so I suppose they will slow the processing from 23 dec till 20 jan

  8. Hi guys, can u see requested documents on your immi account after your MA submitted? My MA submitted the requested documents last week, but I checked on my immi account shows nothing, and status still information requested. I checked with MA they said cause they submitted on another system, it's normal I couldn't find in my immi account. Is the anyone has same issue? I am soooo confused and worry about that. Thanks guys.

I think it depends whether the docs submitted are for nomination or for visa application. On immi account, you can only see your visa application documents. If MA has submitted additional documents for nomination, you won't be able to see them on your immi account.

  9. Visa and nom are two seperate process i believe, they could be allocated to different or same co, in the case u mentioned they likely go to same one. Just my understanding

But nom and visa are one after another, a visa will not be approved until nomination is approved. In most case, from what I have followed in various posts on this thread... once nomination gets approved, visa gets approved in next couple of days (mostly when both are applied together). However, when both are applied separately, visa is usually approved within 2-3 months of nomination approval. Which means both start in parallel (to your point as they are separate) but its the nomination approval that drives the timeline.

  10. Also, the way processing time is calculated seems inaccurate... shouldn't it be calculated from the date the nomination was filed?.. coz that's the actual end to end processing time. There are a lot of cases where nomination was filed 3-4 months before the visa application and its approved 2-3 months after visa application. So, the processing time is calculated as 2-3 months while it is actually 6-7 months. That is misleading. Thoughts?

  11. Hi Everyone,

I have recently applied for my 186 TRT visa. My MA has given me only one acknowledgement letter which I believe is for my Visa application (and not nomination). They did give me a nomination TRN in the beginning while I was filling up my visa application but I am not sure if that's when they filed my nomination.. because they were still collecting information from my employer. When I asked my MA, they said that its always done all at once and that acknowledgement is for everything. My visa application form has a nomination TRN. But when I read all the posts here, everyone has posted separate dates for Visa and Nomination. I am confused because I dont understand when was my nomination lodged or was it on the same date as visa. Can anyone help me with this please?
