Please look here. It has all the information you may need
overall you are looking at about three years and close to $130,000. Yes, the government are considering changing or abolishing it.
Thank you , really appreciated your reply.

Hi everyone
Could anyone please tell me how much time one has to apply for visa after receiving the nomination.
God bless us all.
Hello Rahul,
Nomination and visa can be applied on same day. My MA applied both the files same day and I got both files approved on same day. It is up to you if you want to file your visa now or want to wait for nominations’s approval. I hope it helps.
Thank you

Hi guys,
I am starting this new topic regarding permanent visa for parents. I would like to request you to share your opinion and experience about current permanent parents visa procedures. I just read on SBS news today that they are going to make it more tough in 2019.? Any views about this will be appreciated. Please share your parents timeline if possible that when you applied for their permanent residency? When they got it? How much it costs in total? What documents we need to apply? How long it does take. ?
Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
I am so sorry whoever is waiting since almost 2 years , I can understand your pain because I have been through this terrible situation. Just wanted to share my story to make you feel little bit better. I applied 187 DE onshore, restaurant manager on 15 dec 2015. I got to know that my restaurant has been sold without even letting me know in May 2016 (my MA told me who was actually my employer’s MA). I asked my MA what I can do now? He said you don’t have any option, withdraw the file or it will get refused. It was terrible situation for me, i was so angry and I wanted to ask too many questions to my employer but I chose to stay calm and not to say anything to anybody and decided to wait for the outcome.
Then my file opened in October 2016 and immigration asked for Nomination related docs, they didn’t tell me what they asked for. My MA told me that you are gone, whatever they have asked for, we have nothing. Then I called my employer asked him everything politely, behaved like I didn’t know that restaurant is sold. He told me everything that it was hard for me to handle both the restaurant and he wanted to focus on only one restaurant which is also in regional area, and he said he wanted me to work there now. He said he will send all the required docs to immigration to transfer my position from sold restaurant to this restaurant.
I was hopeless, wanted to trust him but my heart never wanted to trust him. Anyways they (MA AND EMPLOYER)told me that they have submitted all the required docs within 20 days. On the other hand I was looking for other options as I was thinking that I am getting refusal anyway.
People around me call me lucky person , I got my RSMS approved on 15 November 2016. I couldn’t believe my Employer when he called me and said that I have got my permanent residency, I quickly checked my immi account which I checked 15 minutes earlier, was showing received but now it was showing FINALISED. That day changed my whole life, I couldn’t believe that just after finishing my studies, I got my permanent residency after spending only 2 and half years in Australia. Now I am happily working as restaurant manager in same restaurant and recently have applied for citizenship.
Never leave the hope, you never know what can turn out to be good for you.

Ps, when you say the weather doesn’t suit you can I ask in what respect? It’s just I’ve lived in a number of places in Australia and gone from the extremes of 6ft snow to tropical paradise. I lived outside Toronto and would say the weather is very much like Melbourne
Thank you for replying in this forum. I live in regional Queensland and It is too hot in here. Summer is unbearable and winter is not winter either. I have stuck with aircon and unbearable sun which is creating skin issues for me. Anyway is Melbourne really nice and cold place? I have heard of that but sun will be same?? I have got to know Australia don’t have ozone layer? And that’s why sun is very harsh. ‘?

Hello Guys,
Just want to thank you to all the blog members who take their valuable time to share information regarding citizenship. It is very helpful. I also have applied my citizenship yesterday and assuming that my file will open in the end of the year or next year?. Anyway I was just checking when I was about to lodge my file I got one message at the end stating that “ you havn’t provided all the required evidence , tell the reason for that”. But I am sure that I have attach all the evidence whatever the file asked for. I gave the reason that I have provided all the required evidence. After that I was able to successfully submit my file. Is this normal? Or just I am the one who had this issue? Any response will be appreciated.
Thank you

Hello guys,
I hope you all are doing very well. Guys don't stress out too much. Well, I know it's easy to say and very hard to get out of this waiting game because me too have been through this wait and achieved my goal in 11 months. I applied on 16 Dec 2015 and got my PR on 15 November 2016. Just want to give some hope who are waiting since very long. Forget about PR, let it reach at near about year, by the time look around yourself you have much more to do, give sometime to yourself, family, enjoy with friends and Focuse on your job.
kind regards,
Mavi.

Hello guys,
I have seen few people talking about visa conditions after approval. Well I have attached my visa obligations letter which I received when I got my PR almost two years ago. And it clearly says that you commence your contract with in six months after PR and remain in the same position for 2 years, if you don’t meet obligations you may face visa cancellation. READ FOLLOWING COPY PASTE FROM MY LETTER AND HAVE A LOOK IN ATTACHED PHOTO of my visa approval letter.
And it says that:
“Your obligations
You must meet the following obligations:
- commence employment within six (6) months of arriving in Australia as the holder of this visa or within six (6) months of the visa grant if you are already in Australia
- remain employed in the nominated position in the regional area for at least two (2) years.
Your visa may be cancelled if you do not make a genuine effort to comply with the above mentioned obligations. If you have any enquiries regarding your obligations please contact 131 881 or write to the Permanent Employer Sponsored Entry Centre of Excellence nearest you. More details can be found on our website at www.border.gov.au”
Guys my suggestion is please seek proper legal ADVICE from REGISTERED MIGRATION AGENT before terminating your RSMS contact after approval to avoid adverse consequences because it takes a lot to get permanent residency.
Kind regards,
Mavi
