Hi Nello, I'm a carpenter also applying for 189. I'm claiming only 5 years also but can't get all the tax documents. I can only show tax for just over two years. Plus only have bank statements as well instead of payslips but they don't show my employers name which I think won't be enough for immigration. They make it so difficult.. Hi, Is bank statements enough for proof of work? Finding it hard to get a complete history of work from tax office. Tax documents only go back 5 years which is 2012 I was in Australia on whv then so can't show working as a carpenter in UK. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

For the pte I studied for two weeks. I took two mock exams which I found harder than the real test. Check youtube e2 language.com videos, I found them very helpful. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I did the pte computer based test but I did study somewhat for the Ielts. I found the ieltsadvantage.com website very useful. I paid for the correction service for the essays so I understood were I was going wrong. There are many articles on the website going into great detail about the Ielts. Hi zippy, thanks for all the information and tips you've given me i will try and use this when practicing to help me speed up in the essay. I paid for the practice tests on the pte website quite expensive but I suppose you have to take this seriously. So I took the first mock test with no practice at all two weeks ago just to get a gauge of were I stand but i didn't score to great. Test A - L59 R62 S71 W 51 Then last week with some writing practice during the week I took the other one. Test B - L68 R73 S82 W65. Just passed the writing and no more. So I'm booked in for 6th Feb this Monday for it. Hope I can get 65 across the board, so then I can apply for 189. How did you find the mock tests easier or harder than the real one? Hey guys, Quick question I'm booked in for my pte test next week looking for 65 but worried about the essay part. Stuggling to get the essay written inside the 20mins. I seem to waste to much time on the paraphrasing the intro and then the ideas. Also unsure of how to approach the Stucture. How many supporting paragraphs are needed? Some people say 1 others say 2. Suppose what I'm really asking is how did you guys go about yours?? Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated thanks for taking the time to read all this. ? Hey guys, wondering if any you guys did any pte mock tests before hand and if so are they harder than the real test. I'm currently studying for my pte test and have taken two mock tests but the results haven't been great. First one: L59 R62 S71 W51. Second one: L68 R73 S82 W65. Some improvement on the second. Hey guys, Wondering could I ask a quick question on the police checks. I got mine back it says 'No Disclosable Court Outcomes'. This for the Australian Federal Police Check aswell, it has got me really worried that immigration will say something on the matter or even worse cancel my visa altogether. Wondering what any of your police checks said. Is it normal for police checks to say that? I must also say I did the working holiday visa back 2011 but never arrested in my life. I have yet to sit my ielts also. Im going for my skills assessement first as that is the most worrying for me. I have experience at roofing but I wouldn't be very confident at it. It's mostly the hip roofing that is confusing me the most. Theres a handy little book called goss's roofing ready reckoner. It explains how to find rafter lengths and so on. Could maybe be a help to your partner there's also loads of videos on YouTube to give you an idea about roofing.
