Hello everyone I just cleared chief mates COR from Sydney. Thanks to all here in this group with special mention to Capt R and CaptC. Here orals are taken mostly by Capt.Costalino who is extremely helpful and polite. Aspirants can choose Sydney with out hesitation. With a fair amount of preparation it's not tough to crack this exam. Will drop questions very soon.

Hello farmer I'm appearing for chief mates COR on 18th of May. So I can give you a detailed picture of the examination there in Sydney. In order to book for orals just call up the respective office with your seafarer Id and notify your intention and date. They will take credit card payment over phone. It's about 472AUD I remember. For syllabus checklist please google AMSA deck orals. You will get a PDF file.

Hey Divy Its my understanding that we do need Indian PCC. And its an easy process i suppose. Did you do your medicals ?

Hi Divy Thanks very much for your reply. I have saved the official email which i received from them with their digital signature. However they are not agreeing to issue any PCC. I just have an email asking them for PCC and they replied saying they do not provide the same as per their law. I hope that would suffice. Did you get PCC from India ?

Hello Anyone have any experience obtaining Singapore PCC ? I mailed the Singapore police department and Marine authority. Both denied saying its issued only for workers residing in their country. Whats the next step ?

Hello Everyone Could someone please advise regarding medicals for PR application process. I would like to finish my medicals since I am due for joining a vessel. My plan was to get medicals done and join the vessel and complete rest of the process onboard or my wife would complete the same. I read HAP id is required for doing medicals. Could some shed some light on this ? Is it possible to obtain the same prior a case officer is assigned?

Hello there You can send your IGNOU bachelors for VETASSES assessment and it will earn you additional 15 points. I got a positive outcome in 1 month time. When are you planning for orals ? I will be attempting Chief mates COR around mid of April 2017.

Hello seniors this thread was of great use to acquire critical information regarding skilled migration. However I have a slightly different query. Myself and my wife are planning to migrate under 189 skilled visa.I'm planning to stay as co-applicant as my wife will be the primary. In order to achieve extra 5 points I read that I have to get my skills assessed. My question 1. In this case too should I need to attend the orals or is there any formal assessment which could be done for me to stay as co applicant ? What does AMSA say when we initially submit our docs ? Grade : chief mate FG, India Thank you
