Hi All, I have received this reply from my agent this morning: The Migration Programme planning level for the Skilled category now has limited number of places left for the 2015-2016 program year. This means processing times will be longer and that once the remaining places are used, the Department cannot grant further visas in this category during this programme year. As planning levels affect all applications, including those in the final stages of processing, I cannot give you an indication as to the likely timeframe for finalisation of your application.

Thanks everyone for the updates. Charlottehill76 - Indeed a very brave move. But if its not linked with the Aus visa grant, then you would have either done the same. I have also had a similar kind of response from the agent. Things have slowed down a lot at the moment and visas grants are not quick anymore. So lets cross the fingers and wait... being so impatient now as the wait is almost 2.5 months ever since we submitted the last document. I also applied for the H1B lottery and missed there for the second time :-( so banking on the Aus visa now. Crab

Hello all, My last uploaded document by the agent was the clear copy of my bachelor's transcript as the one submitted earlier was not very sharp. This was uploaded on the 30th March,16 and after that we have not heard anything. This was the only additional information asked so far. All my other documents were uploaded on the 29th Feb. I will keep everyone posted as soon as I hear anything from DIBP. Crab

Hello, I have spoken to my agent he said that it varies from case to case. There is no particular time as of when will the checks be completed. It can take from 1 month up to 6 months in general and can go up to 12 months. He also told me that people who have submitted everything in Dec 15 are still waiting for the visas and those who submitted in March got it in April. So basically, there is no specific criteria or time period defined. All we have to do is to wait. Crab

Don't worry, I submitted my police checks, medical everything on 29th Feb, 2016 and still waiting to get any response... You have someone to look at you while you are waiting .. but yeah this is very frustrating now.. don't even know what's going on. My agent told me that people who submitted in Jan are also waiting and some of them who submitted in March got it. So basically, its a matter of luck and patience. Crab

Good Luck Emma! I have heard recently that immi have a very heavy backlog and that might take some time to sort out. My agent told me since lots of people are applying, there is a high chance that they might change the visa policies and put ceilings on some categories from this year. Keeping fingers crossed! Crab

EOI-65 points as an EHO sub 25/10/15.
