Its almost 3 yrs on 457 now ! Next year April my 457 visa expiring !

Joke of the day:arghh: ..... almost 10 months waiting ! No nomination No Visa . From Last 2 months no answer from IMMI.

Waiting can be very frustrating and mentally draining. I experienced it when I waited for my visa approval for 7.5 months. My suggestion is that when you hit the 6th month mark, try to call DIPB or if you know your Processing centre, call them on the number written at the bottom part of your letter. Based on my experience, people from the department are very accommodating. I asked this question to the forum before if it's beneficial to call DIBP, but I didn't get an answer and I'm giving you a view based on my own experience. This is just to give you people a peace of mind. If you call DIBP, waiting time is long which can even take you to almost an hour. They used to tell you which queue no. you are, but that is gone already, they'll just answer the phone whenever an officer is available. With processing centres, most of the time they will not pick up the phone, but I was lucky one time that I was able to speak with the case officer. I thought is that, when you call them and when they check on your file, it goes on top again and becomes a priority. You know there's so many applicants on-shore and off-shore and your file can be file down the list. It is just when you call DIBP, the refresh button is re set.

Just wana informe u that they visited me as well in june/15,

All the application from that company go on hold while the monitoring is done.

They took 5 months to the finalise mine

Is there any reason you are so late, like delay police clearance from your home country ? OR any other reason. Did they asked for additional documents ?

LOL ... don't ask this question please I have answered 100 times. 2 time doc requested and 1 time office visit of immi in early Feb 16 . But now news after that.

I decided to pay 2nd VAC of my wife but now she is doing IELTS to save money , although we did not save time but atleast we can save our money.

It certainly does test your patience! I thought waiting from July was tough! My Processing office is NSW, do you know yours?

Just had a min freak out, have submited my employer nomination for 186 visa in September and patiently waiting for the days for it to be approved so I can lodge my visa (and begin the wait again). Just realised I submitted the visa nomination for direct entry as apposed to Temp Residence Transition Stream as I have worked with same employer for nearly 3 years.

 

Does anyone have any idea if I will be able to change this or will I have to resubmit a nomination? I don't think I can live with starting over again.

Whats the most efficient way to speak to someone at IMMI about this?

I think you can request to refund fees or adjust to TRT . But waiting game will be restart . " not a professional advice " but practical experience for a year .. lol.. Good luck mate

Is the office visit quite normal for immi? Does the immi want to check if the person is genuinely working in that company? I also heard that they would give the company a anonymous call before giving the nomination, is that true?

Dude in my case , they just asked random question to contact person who was mention in form80 and other form , he is my senior manager and they went away I was not in the office coz I have to mostly on the sites .

They asked for payg again, notice of assesmemt

Moatly everything is provided, just the job advertisment and leave extracts and notice of assessment is odd one out. Hopefully will be able to supply it tomorrow.

They requested same documents to me in Jan 16 and after 1 month office visit and now no news . they are sleeping in my case . I wish every one get through very soon. now Waiting time is normal for me I don't know when they gonna take decision. Good luck mate !!
