Thanks so everyone already did medical check after lodged application? Its weird, in my immi acc there is no option for medical .... only i see the option is 'my application', 'application preference','related links', 'help and support' ((((( neither of the inside option shows medical check.

This is your MA duty to provide you HAP IDs.

The fact that he did not provide it to you, and your file is already evaluated by CO, hints on level of professionalism of your MA.

You should do your medicals urgently unless you want to have further delays with your application.

I know how hard waiting is. And the advise to relax and think about something else does not really help.

I found good way to deal with this, just start something new in your life. Start something which you planed since long ago. Start Yoga, start learning German etc.

I stopped eating meat, and this really helps me to stay positive during waiting time ...

Current processing time is 6-8 months if your lucky open your file in 6 months

Just want to clarify that "CO assigned" != "CO actively looks into your documents"

CO may be assigned but documents may lay in his queue for some time

What is the strike about?is it against or support the 186 visa?hopefully nothing bad for us. We had enough waiting, not expecting any bad news.

I guess DIBP was not in governmental strike list. What is the point for DIBP to strike? We do not have voting rights， we can not pressure govermenn because of DIBP delays.

We have just had our visa approved. We did our medicals upfront and took surgery results and letters from our oncologist as we had both received a cancer diagnosis since arriving in Australia. I really cant believe they didn't ask for any further documents. To say i'm relieved is an understatement!

If u want to spend money u can have it... Once u have Medicare not necessarily to continue. Up to u now.

It depends. Normally 457 insurance cover is paid by the employer.

Also you have the right to get back medicare levy when you fill tax return form(which is few thousand backs)

So in the above case it makes no sense to get temporary medicare card - you loose money .

I have read a few posts from agents advising rather not to import the application to your own Immi account. Would this cause delays or confusion?

I would really like to check if everything was uploaded and also the status every now and then but now I'm too scared to do it!

Why ?? I never heard of any problem with importing your application to your account.

Just a quick question, when i was reading old post i saw other members contacting immi... which numbers did u guys ring? I asked my MA if they know if i already have a case officer he said no news yet...

You can find number at the bottom of your application acknowledgement letter

Still some last week of August files left .Some CO are very quick because of decision ready application others are not takes longer to assess the file but nothing is personal. As some one mentioned in earlier post various reasons to open some one file before your even though applied earlier then others. I hope Immi finalise all August files by tomorr

Hi Mark, there is no “decision ready“ application status since 2013. All applications are treated via same queue

Hi buddies: I am glad to be in this forum. Mine is ENS 186 TRT, both nomination and application were lodged on 10 Dec 205 through MA. Having read through thread in this forum, it is likely that Department is only looking at Aug's files now....continue waiting and keep fingers crossed

Yes, you need to wait another 3 month for your docs to be reviewed, so just relax and enjoy this forum

- I mean to say the visa time as per DIBP is 6 months. For nomination to be approved , is it same time or it could be approved earlier. ?

@Sheila it is same time for nomination too, direct stream is processed bit faster

- How we know that case officer has been allocated. Is it just when you receive prompt from immigration regarding extra documents are we receive any email etc?

- After allocation of CO how long it takes for decision ?

- Case offer for nomination is same of visa application or they can be different. ?

- What is processing time of nomination be finalized. ?

1. You can ask your MA to call or call DIBP yourself. They usually can tell if CO is allocated or not.

First Nomination Applied: July 2014

Nomination Refused: January 2015

MRT: January 2015

 

New/2nd Nomination: February 2015

2nd Nomination Approved: July 2015

Visa lodge: 3/08/2015

 

MRT open: Somewhere near Sep-Oct 2015, they were satisfied (written in result) but they refused it as the other nomination was already approved.

 

Visa Doc Requested: 18/02/2016 (Police certificate, it was already there) - VIC Centre

 

Visa GRANTED: 25/02/2016 - NSW Centre

Always ask if he applied direct entry or transition - this makes impact on processing speed(direct is much faster)

@Mannsaab.After lodging 186 visa application you are elig for Medicare card. Still if you want have private cover you can go head as medicare does not cover some surgeries and medical treatment also if you want to under go some surgery with medicare its long waiting period you may wait up to years for some operations but totally up to you i have medicare as well as private health insurance.But immi do not bother after lodging 186 visa.when you are on 457 visa as per the law you should have private health insurance that is the responsibility of your employer

Does any one know if we receive any piece of paper/Email from immi/MA for approved nomination? Wanted to check who was CO for approved nomination and contact him to see if he did look at visa file!

Hey, I dont know about that, but i have been waiting for almost 8 months. I was contacted in DEcember the 9th for passport documents (which was already uplodaed) and that was it, I send an email, two weeks after that to make sure they received and all they said was "application in process".

guys, I just wonder, do we have here anyone whose nomination was approved, but documents were requested for visa application?

We got granted our PR yesterday afternoon. We were 457 to 186, applied for nomination & visa 7th Sept both granted 22nd February 16. We used an agent and all straight forward.
