  1. Yes was deffo 12 month WHV 457!!! Decision was made instantly when paying for them! Got them on 24th january
  2. where are u all applying from? i applied for mine from the UK and it was accepted and emailed to me within minutes

  4. hi all, just wondering did any of you arrange your farming job out before u arrived??? im thinking of doing this if its possible and getting it out the way as soon as we arrive in cairns in august, any advice' help apprechiated, thanks danny
  5. Superb!!! I had my grant letter through within minutes along with my acceptance, cant wait now, 187 days to go haha

  8. so me and my fiance both applied for our visas on saturday and had them granted within minutes, is this right as i often hear of people waiting 4+ weeks for theres, or is this if u send off for them??? also once i have recieved the grant form what do i need to do next? print it off an take with me???
  9. doesnt matter how many days a week u work as long as it 88 days total i think
  10. curtis were doing the same route our selvs just in the opposite direction because it will be winter when we arrive and cairns is a lot nicer than sydney at that time of year.
  11. wow! thats a massive amount to pay in tax from 0 isnt it, i can see the number of backpackers dramatically falling soon.
  12. ditto mate, were heading out start of august for 12 months, weve got rougly the same budget as ya self and every1 has said it will be plenty. what route u thinking of doing? i take it your doing the 12 months????

  14. Good stuff, that will put my mind at rest anyway haha, ive heard its pretty easy to get work from a friend who was out there last year, counting down the days now like an excited child.
  15. A friend who went backpacking last year round aus said the same thing to me, i really like the look of it my self, lets just hope i can land my dream job

  17. thanks for the replys people, im deffo interested in doing a skydive luckyj, thats on my bucket list with dive the barrier reef both are 100% getting ticked off. queen i was thinking a lot about the car after a friend reccomended it, 6 months bus ticket would be $1000 on it own for us both so is deffo worth thinking about. Ive got a likely budget of £10.000 or $20.000 for the 2 of us, hoping that will be enough. quokka whats it like on the job line? easy, hard, what type of jobs are going? ive got my padi divemaster certificate, would give anything to get a job working on the barrier reef.

Hi guys my and my fiancee will be heading out to aus in august for 12 months and havent got a clue where to start haha, planning on doing sydney - cairnes or vice versa. is it easy to find work? best way to travel around? realistic budget for 12 months? must see places? worth buying a cheap car? any help would be appreciated thanks, danny
