its every year,I.e first year in 2013 , s!cond yea in 2014. and now you are applying 186 in 2015. we again need to pay for third year as we are still in 457. that's what our employerdid he had paid thrice
2nd12th
You're right mate, I probably mixed that up with what my Company was asked by our MA.

Hello Guys,
need help if someone knows about training bench mark, as business got approval on 29 May 2013 to and first training was done before that in April 2013, 457 visa approved in August, then all the trainings were done in June thinking that got to get done before financial year, Now could this be a issue.
as far as I know the training benchmarks must be met for the two years you've been under the 457 Visa. In your case I assume August 2013 through to August 2014 and August 2014 through to August 2015, if you applied in, say, August or September 2015. If you're applying now, then your company should meet the requirements for the two years from May 2014 to May 2015 and May 2015 to May 2016.
That's what I was told by my MA.

40 days since doc submitted
Oh lord
You're almost there!
What's your TL, mate? can't find you on the spreadsheet.

Congratulations Ali and kichak! Slow but steady progress from the department, please get on to November! I'm just hoping that there are no document requests!! It's taking long enough for those without any requests.
Haven't heard anything and still the same "Application Received" status since I lodged my Application. Seriously, it would be a joke if they requested more documents after this long.

Please someone update the excel sheet. I think @roxyp17 will do.
Congrats!!! I'm sure you'll be happy to update your signature as well
it's great to know you didn't need those guns in the end haha

just wondering,Anyone who applied in november files opened ?
my timeline
nomm 10th nov 2015
visa 16th nov 2015
At least three November applications for TRT have been approved already, according to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kY0XVAWzNjXAxAHC5-PPol_h4Lyl_wcz66c7BUelvXc/edit?usp=sharing
Although officially, according to their auto-response e-mail, they are allocating files from late September.
Good luck for everyone waiting!

Bro my co worker got 457 visa after 8 months .....so dont worry u will get it soon
8 months for a 457 Visa? I remember back in the old days (2013) getting my 457 in a couple of weeks... don't know what or why but something's been really messed up at IMMI/DIBP lately.

Is it a good idea to get health examination done before lodging visa application? or is it just better to wait and see if case officer would want a health check done?
I'm not 100% sure you can do it before lodging your Visa application but you definitely should get the health examinations done soon. The CO will definitely ask for it if you haven't done it and not having it done will only delay the process.

I hve applied on 4th january.Nomination approved on 12th january. Then they ask for the medical on 13th january. In march they ask the employer for papers and he send them within one weak. After that I did not hear anything from immigration.
how can they approve a Nomination in just 8 days and ask your employer for more documents a couple of months later? it really makes no sense to me.

My immi account doesn't open why anybody have any idea? It's been 10th time in half an hour.
My timeline- nom&visa-11 /11/2015.
same here, they're actually showing this message on the login screen:
UNPLANNED SYSTEM OUTAGE
Please be advised that ImmiAccount is currently unavailable due to an unplanned technical outage. We are currently working to fix the problem. We apologise for any inconvenience and advise you to try again later.

Hi there I can feel the pain you are going through I have a question why didn't you apply nom and visa together
hi AlwaysaloneM,
thanks for that. We weren't 100% that the Nomination would go through so following our MA's advice we waited until we got it approved. After that, we were hoping it would take 2-3 months for our Visa to be granted as it took to someone in my company who did it the same way a few years ago, but it seems like IMMI Service Standards have gotten much worse since then.
-
hope you're right and someone's checking Nov files too...
It's been almost one year since my company lodged the Nomination and I've been through a lot during this time. I can't wait for the day I can say I'm a Permanent Resident.
All the best to everyone waiting!
-
Really confused how this works. How are people getting approvals in Nov Dec then?
Must be all of Sept split up one CO got a easy batch and was able to move to the next load maybe.
Must be something like that, yep...
Today's my 6 months mark so I reckon I'm giving IMMI a call in the next few days for a follow-up.
-
guys, if I want to travel overseas, but still waiting for my visa, can I do it or not....
when does your current 457 Visa expire? you definitely can if you're still under your 457.

Hi Folks,
I am wondering if anyone can help me
I put in my application for initial approval in June 2015, I received my nomination approval on the 11th December 2015 and I put in my full application with payment on the 30th March 2016...Does anyone know what the timeline for response is? I am in no great rush for it at all! Just Curious!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Scott
I didn't even know about this "application for initial approval" thing! I waited until the Nomination was approved to lodge my application.
Hope it works for you and you get your PR soon!
-
Hey guys nomination approved yes!!!!

Hello Everyone. I hope u all r doing great.
I am a Dentist from Pakistan and am being sponsored to work in a Dental Surgery in Sydney.
I wanted to know, for the nomination process, how hard is it to show that my employer genuinely requires an overseas employee to fill a position? And does the employer have to show evidence that he/she tried to find a local to fill the spot but couldn't? Im asking this b/c my employer can easily hire a local Dentist to work for him but as he knows me personally and will be more comfortable with me working for r him, he is willing to sponsor me in the position.
What do u guys say about this?
I'm not a MA nor an expert in this topic. I'm just another 186 applicant so here's just my personal view: the fact that your employer will be more comfortable with you working for him rather than having someone else -Australian or PR- doing the same job doesn't sound -by itself- like a solid reason to sponsor you.
But as long as he can proof that he's been doing research for candidates to fill a genuine, existing position at market salary rates and has been unsuccessful, he should be able to sponsor you. As far as I know there's no specific guideline on how to proof that, but common sense is to use job advertisements (seek.com.au, etc) and salary guides such as the one published by Hays as a benchmark.
Anyway, he better gets advice from some professional MA in Sydney that can help him with the Nomination stage.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

My nomination was lodged on 14th dec 2014 and finally got approved on 30th july 2015. visa lodged november 2015 and still waiting. its been already 1 year 4 months long wait.. Cant control my patience..
hi eish234!
I totally understand your frustration... on top of my employer taking ages after the 2-year mark to apply for the Nomination, I had to delay my visa application lodgement until the Nomination was approved.
"Should I've done it all together, I would have got my PR months ago" is something I think of every day but it doesn't help at all and at that moment, waiting for the outcome of the Nomination was the wiser choice. So now just focus on the positive side... anytime between now and May 10th can be our day! And if that's not the case, in accordance to their Standard Processing Times, we'll have our right to call Immi and have someone to check at it.
Stay strong, mate!
