Yes, you can use different IELTS tests for the skill assessment and the visa application.

Hi, A lot of our clients have found that they score more better on the PTE-A than on the IELTS. We've had some people miss out on 8.0s in IELTS three or four times, but get the equivalent score on PTE-A on the first try. Joy
