  1. I think our visa application will be referred to the VACCU as my husband has a few cautions on his police check, I believe this could take up to 6months whilst they do check I will check the ceiling listings my husband is a carpenter. I declared his convictions on his application but he had forgotten about cautions he got when he was 16years old which I didn't declare on our application I have done a statement for this now I hope doesn't go against our application, praying.. x

  8. Sounds really positive! Timeframe sounds great from when you submitted your EOI! Hoping ours runs as smoothly I have seen a lot of 457job for carpenter/ joiners. That is great news I wasn't sure how was in Newcastle for tradies as we had few offers Sydney way but again like you we don't want to go to a big city type!! We have friends in Perth also we talk to regularly, they love oz and have never looked back, I'm not sure about job sito there right now but NSW looks great and plenty work..Were are u from in UK were down south, we have keep in touch let u know when we head out for us be next year ;-)

  10. Hi Kev, Hope you don't mind me jumping on your post. We are in similar situation to you still in UK submitted our EOI on Monday my husband is a joiner, looking at a 190 to NSW. How long roughly did NSW take to send you invitation to apply? How are you finding Newcastle husband been offered a job in Sydney we was unsure what to do or head Newcastle as heard nice and more affordable for a young family, we have 2 children also. We have a company called Hays recuirting experts worldwide a lady called Lucy (pm if you like her email) She is originally from sydeny and deals with tradies work in NSW. How are you and your wife finding it all?? We been in the Visa process a year now lots of up and downs with it all!! But glad we got our EOI submitted now..!
  11. Hey, finally got our letter from TRA we had bit pressure weither we was going to get due to evidence but we have so pleased hope everyone got their letter!
  12. I wouldn't lodge your EOI until you receive your PTA letter, immigration could reject your visa I have been advised it has happened before. They could easily say your husband has only been qualified since his positive skills assessment which I know not the case the letter helps to back up the years experience your oh has..
  13. Yes there is plenty work yes my husband was in talks with a company they offered us a 457 visa but was based in Sydney and I didn't want to go there also they are a state that charges schools fees on a 457, so will contact them once we have our PR visa but we have few companies and a recruitment lady who said she wants help us out ;-) yes She starts in September she already goes to the nursery there we hoping we have the Visa by the end of the year and looking to go new year time get Christmas out the way etc, we are from Staines near Heathrow. We have keep in touch on this thread  heading same way.. How is your family my mum and dad are being great my in laws however are putting pressure on us as they don't want us to go think there going miss the grandchildren but I know the children will benefit so much more and be better for them.. its hard isn't it?
  14. Hey I have 2 children also my boy is 7 and my little girl is 4, I know what you mean with the starting school here. We are with Go Matilda they have been really good with us, was your husband a cabinet maker does he have a job lined up or are you getting over there and then looking for work? Where about in the UK are you from?
  15. Hi, no ours was only lodged 2 weeks ago so a while yet, I know what u mean about waiting cant wait get it back and start rolling with it! were looking head Brisbane way too, is just you and your husband do you have any children? x
  16. Hi Howards are you going for a 189visa or 190visa? We are going for 190Visa and NSW looking good for joinery
  17. Same as I thought we could get rolling with EOI but it seems it could be rejected by case officer so to be on safe side we have gone ahead with the letter! My husband is a joiner too do you know where your heading in Oz? x
  18. Hi, Yes our appilcation has been submitted and we had confirmation from the TRA that the application has been lodged we have been told can take up to 60 days can come before but no longer then 60 days. I know bit of a pain to do ;-( want our visa application to be as secure as possible.
  19. Hi Howards, we are at this point to I believe it is an advisory letter from TRA but the Australia immigration are more likely to take this into account to guarantee your work experience points. It is all the same paperwork you submitted for skills assessment but everything needs to be certified, an additional 600aud to TRA and need to fill out a TRA application form we was unsure also but as we don't want anyhting to be rejected on visa application we have gone ahead and applied for it ;-)
  20.
