I applied both nomination and visa on 6th of April 2016 as a cook, DE, offshore but no news from immi or agent until now. It's 14 months and 16 days today. 

I finished 14th months today after nomination and visa application but didnot hear anything back from immigration yet.

Hi, i think most of the applicants (from last week of march 2016 onwards) with cook and chef occupation are waiting for their nomination and visa approval. Do you guys think that these occupations are lowest in dimand or heaps of people applied for it.

I sent email to immi two days ago to process my application and also I have just updated my postal address in immi account as I heard they usually go amend any changes if we make online. When they go to make amedment, if everything was okay, they probably grant PR. It worked for me.

I think thats what they did and received my PR today.

I think better you make application for both PCC because it doesn't cost much but for sure it will save your time..

Thanks for answering my question simarjot. I asked my agent that i should renew our pcc and medicals but she said wait for allocation of your file to a case officer. I will ask her again and lets see what she says.

i just paid the fee...but have to wait because before checking our email account we just made application to renew our daughter s passport hopefully we will get it new one within 1-2 weeks.when we came back at home after applying passport (was still valid for 3 months but our lawyer advised to get new passport for her) checked email and found they requested SVAC....felt so happy because they didn't ask medical which is also expired on 4months ago.

I applied nomination and visa on6th April 2016. My medical, pcc and AFP is also expired.

i hope immigration will clear all March April and May application soon.

I applied 6th April 2016 DE, Cook, offshore both nomination and visa but still waiting. I sent 2 email in last 2 weeks to my MA but she didnot reply me back. It's already 13th months. Medical, pcc and AFP already expired. Donot know guys what is going on out there?

nothing yet i am still waiting from last  13th months. Every time when i contact my agent she says that we cannot do anything instead of waiting and i am not the only one who is waiting . It is hard to understand the immi’s way of working.
