  1. Hi Ausstar, I have a friend who got invitation in the Feb 3rd round, she lodged EOI in late July 2015 with 65 points as general accountant. I am not sure when was your lodgement, but it seems 65 points do have a fair chance for invitation now. Good luck!
  2. Hi Captain, Good news to share! I got invitation on 18/12/15 and lodged visa application the same day. Then I got visa granted on 08/01/16! Super quick! Sorry for the late post as I went out for a long holiday and just got back yesterday. Thank you very much for your help! Wish all the best to others waiting.

  4. Thanks a lot @Captain! Fingers crossed for 18th! I shall come to update my status then!
  5. Hi Captain, Could you please kindly refer to my query? Thank you! @Captain
  6. Hi Captain, I haven't got an invitation this round.... Should I expect the next one? Is there any chance I can get invited this year? I noticed someone got invited with lodgement on 13/09/2015. Should I be positive with mine being in next round? Thanks in advance for your help Captain!
  7. Thank you very much Captain! If I can get the invitation this year, it will be the best new year present!
  8. Hi, I would like to share my personal experience of taking both IELTS-G and PTE-A with who concerns the comparison of these two tests. I did 10+ times of IELTS before I tried PTE-A once. I got similar results with IELTS every time, about L 8 R 7.5 W 6.5 S 7. However, after so many times of failure to get 7 in each topic (especially for writing), I decided to try PTE-A for some luck. I did the preparation by completing the sample test on PTE's official website and went to have the test on a Saturday. I got L 67 R 66 S 60 W 76 for one attempt. I reckon PTE-A is much harder to get the desired result (particularly speaking) than IELTS-G for the testers like me at the edge of 7 level. I have been doing IELTS for quite a long time and already been used to the structure and format. I find it pretty challenging to switch the pattern to a new type which requires a lot of testing skills during that 3 hours. Therefore, I went back to IELTS after that and finally got L 8 R 7.5 W 7 S 7 in my next attempt. My suggestion is that unless you have plenty of time to prepare for PTE-A, you may stay with IELTS if you have already been doing it for a while. My experience is that you will eventually get what you want with IELTS if you try really hard for many times.
  9. Hi Captain, 221111 General Accountants 70 25 Sep 2015 Thanks a lot!
  10. Thank you @Pommie! I would assume I might not be invited in September round... My backup plan is to apply for a student visa and work less if necessary... I have been trying IELTS for several times but always get 0.5 point short... I might start to consider PTE...
  11. Thank you for your advice @CaptainC! I might not be able to get sponsorship from my employer because the company is not eligible to do it. Yes you are right I need extra points by doing English test... I am also thinking about applying another student visa and work maximum 40 hours fortnightly after confessing to my employer... It's really frustrating...
  12. Hi, I'm introduced by a friend to this website to check my position in the queue of waiting for 189 invitation. I submitted my EOI on 3rd June for General Accountant, 60 points. I didn't get invited in July around obviously, I understand I have to wait longer... But my current visa is going to expire by the end of September. If I'm not invited by September around, I have to go back to my country waiting for my visa to be granted before I can come back!! I'm currently full-timely working, I don't want to lose my job.... :arghh: Can anyone please share your own status? Or anyone could advise if I may get invited in the next 2 rounds? Or anyone has any idea of what other kind of visa I could apply while waiting so I can stay in Australia for my work...? Please help!! SOS!!
