  1. U just said it what i wanted to say. I just couldnt be bothered answering this long story.

In addition, i never said do not use MA. All i wanted to say is, there are lot of people i know who suffered bcoz of MAs. A MA will help u but u have to take care of your application by urself.

I said, nomination might be bit harder than visa application bcoz for us making market salary and all other business related papers might be harder. Though accountant doest that all. But i cant just verify by myself if its all right.

But yeah whoever agrees or not visa application is not hard. I did for my all visas i applied last 8 years

We have to spread this awareness that “visa application is not hard and can easily do yourself”

  2. I am sorry, but I don't agree. Migration law is very complex. For example, there are requirements that need to be met at the time of application and then there are requirements at the time of decision. There are also certain validity requirements that are not so easy to understand by simply reading the DIBP website. Nomination application requires a lot of checks including training, turnover, personnel, financials, market salary rate etc. Visa too is not as straight forward as it looks. Also, having an agent let's you concentrate on your work and gives you that extra peace of mind knowing that someone who has studied specifically to lodge visas have lodged your application. It is like letting a certified electricians or plumber work your house. You would be able to sleep peacefully knowing that your house won't blow up in the middle of the night.

Now, there are always exceptions. Some Migration Agents are better than the others. Some migration agents do not have enough experience to deal with a certain kind of applications or may not have kept themselves up-to-date with the latest legislation (though they are required to do so.) and it totally depends on us - the clients, to choose the right kind of migration agent for our application. A very good test to see if your migration agent is good or not is to see how many clients they handle in a month, how busy they are and what is their success rate. Ask them for referrals. Say that you would like to talk to a few of their clients before you decide to take up their services. It is a buyer's market, you can choose which service to buy and from whom.

Congratulations to those who got their PR and all the best to those waiting.

I'm sorry mate but I don't agree with you for visa application.

I did my own for visa application and it took me an hour only to submit my visa and I don't see any difficulties while doing my own.

Even if you go with MA you have to prepare your own documents.

For Nomination, your employer can do (admin/accountant) because he/she has well known than lawyer/MA because he/she has all your details since you work for this company. incase of your employer do not want to do then go with lawyer/MA instead doing you own for your nomination visa only.

  3. Hello Everyone,

Need your kind assistance regarding health checks.

I had done my own health checks right before I applied the PR application for myself and my wife who's a secondary applicant. My wife was unable to undertake her health checks as she was pregnant at that time. Now I have created an immi account for her and trying to obtain a HAP ID but I'm getting an error message when I clicked "YES" to the question "Has the applicant already submitted a visa application for this subclass....". The error message I'm getting is "My health declaration is only for the clients who have not yet lodged the visa application. Applicant who have already lodged a visa will be contacted by a case officer "

So my question is that do I need to wait for a case officer to be assigned and generate a HAP ID? Wonder if anyone has come across of this sort of situation?

Yes, you have to wait till CO asked to do.

  4. I have a question for you .... I have applied my nomination on 28th August 2015 - Filled open on 04/03/2016 - Requested more documentation - submitted on 15/03/2016 But i applied my visa on 02/03/2016 - does it mean i have to wait for another 6 months to get my visa approved or will they look at both my files simultaneously ?

Unfortunatly yes for 95%, if you lucky then 5% are chances (if your visa file allocated to same team with same CO).

  5. I need help guys, I have seen many people been asked for new contract of their employment even though they submitted already. What does it really the new contract mean ?

2nd question, if my salary is lower than market rate will they refuse my application straight away or ask for modifying contract? Thanks in advance.

Re. 2nd question: if your salary is low then CO will ask justification to employers if CO satisfied then they will not refuse ur application. So ask your employers to be prepare you answer on this.

  6. Any one here , who have patience like me ?

@sunny786, I've seen 1-2 ppl in this forum who applied feb 2015 and they will get their granted on Nov 2015. I understand your frustration level BUT you have no option till wait. So don't loose your hope you will get it for sure.

You have rights to call immi officers as you have crossed 8 months of standard wait time. I'm sure they will look your files soon.

All the best and hope you will get it by end of next week.

  8. nsw as well, nom and visa 18/09/15, request doc this moring

Have you uploaded your certificates? if yes then you will get it by COB (close of business) today and max by monday.

Same thing happened to me, CO called and requested my certificate and then next day by COB got my PR.....

your lucky that co did not send you an email otherwise you might have to wait another 28day.

  9. Arggg!! Just realised the my husband's and my Ausi police clearance has expired as of 2nd of Feb (over 12 months). We both travelled to our home country mid last year, so should we re apply for the police clearance? Or will the case officer give us the PR as the document was valid for 6 months from the date the visa application was submitted.

Safest way to re-apply both the police check.

Same thing happened to me. Then I re-applied before my police check get expire. Then I uploaded new police check before CO assigned.

  10. Yea i meant the same but thinking most of us onshore would work or are already working for the company and getting paid and 457 gets approved and 2 years would start from that date.

The question was from 457 approval date or when start getting paud or working didnt day from work day whilst on 457.

I for example was working for 1 year fulltime and then decided to apply so my 2 years start from the date 457 approved. So i said in that prospective

Condition visa lodge = Working for the same company AND after 457 visa approvad THEN 457 visa date

Condition visa lodge = 457 visa approved AND after join the company THEN work date

  11. Visa 457 was granted on 11 August and work started 29 August and first pay got 8 sep and file lodged according to that on after two years 18 sep

so can any one tell me that is it all right for me or do I have to worry about that ??

No need to worry, ur have lodged after 2 years from work started. Best of luck.

  12. Under the Temporary Resident Transition stream, you must have worked 2 years on a 457 visa for the nominating sponsor. So if your visa was granted January 1st and you started working on February 1st, the 2 years is from February 1st.

Hi, I would like to change my user name. could you please allow me to change my user name. Thanks in advance!

Finger prints can be done at local Police Station. They will help with getting finger prints on paper and then you share that finger print to Singapore PCC Department through POst. I think local police station charges about 30$ for finger prints.

Below is the process for getting Singapore PCC.

Each application will be processed only upon receipt of all required documents; failure to comply with the submission of required documents within 10 days on receipt of application will result in delays in processing or applications to be rejected. The required documents are:

    1. Application form (and appeal form if applicable)

    2. A photo copy of applicant's valid passport (biometric page only)

(Note: walk-in applicants are to bring the original documents for verification)

    3. 2 recent passport-sized photographs that are 3.5 cm by 4.5cm, borderless with a white background;

    4. Photocopy of document from relevant consulate/immigration or government authority/educational institution to establish that the certificate is required by such authority. All documents are to be translated to English if written in other languages;

    5. Fingerprint Impressions

      1. Walk-in applicants' fingerprint impressions will be taken at the COC;

      2. Applicants by post shall submit a set of their 10 fingerprint impressions* taken by a qualified fingerprint officer from a police establishment or an authorised office at their country of residence.* A set of 10 fingerprint impressions refers to impressions of right and left thumbs, and 4 fingers of the right and left hands.

Applicants residing overseas may submit their applications forms (and appeal form if applicable) to:

        Criminal Records Office, CID (COC),

        Block D Police Cantonment Complex,

        #02-07/08,

        391 New Bridge Road,

        Singapore 088762

Visit below Website for more details or let me know if you have any questions.
