  1. Hi All, I am currently waiting for nomination and visa to be approved for 187, I have provided a form 80 for myself, do I need to provide a form 80 for my partner also ? Thanks !

if you and your partner traveled multiple countries then chances are high they will ask for your partners as well.

For the safer side i recommended you to upload your partner form 80 too even you/your partner haven't traveled multiple countries.

  2. I rang them by myself. They said i have a CO. Also said they wouldnt disclose the nom info to me coz im not authorised

Ok, that means they will grant ur visa as soon as they satisfied with you nomination file. I strongly believe that they asked some docs for your nomination. (I may be wrong)

  3. Yeah u r right if i try to call them sooner i might get a good news. Immi website still says its 6 months. Not 6 to 8. my MA wont call immi. He doesnt even reply me

Do you know you can change your MA at anytime?

Possibly CO may asked extra docs to ur MA and he didn't noticed or he didn't get back to CO? or may be he supplied to CO but didn't let you know?

Rule No.1. You are the boss of your MA because u paid him.

Rule No.2. He is your servant so MA must serve you.

    Calm down bro...

Trust me there is no harm to call them and ask for your status as you already reached 6-8 months.

i've seen many cases, when they reached 8 months of waiting period, then they called to immi office after 1 or 2 days they got visa approval. Hope history will repeat and you get approval like them :)

Regarding working time, They work till 5pm, I got my visa granted exactly 5pm on 23rd Oct 2015 which was friday.

  6. I cant understad the guys who applied in oct are contacted for more doc or they got final result ......but no one contacted me .....whyyyyyyyy ......not a single reqst ......but when i call immi they told me its with co .......i am realllyyyy in depresssonnnnnnn

@mirzaa, you have to be patient till DIBP officially announce (auto email) that “We are currently allocating applications that were lodged in Late September 2015” then after a week your file will open for sure.

Some Lucky ppl got approval / requested docs those who lodged in October but the golder rule is that “you don’t need to compare with anyone in this planet”.

Try to divert your mind somewhere else rather than waiting for you visa, I know it’s not easy but you have to try to divert

  7.

I arrived in Australia on 1st Oct 2012 on 457 visa

visa granted (PR) on 23rd Oct 2015

till now I haven't travel anywhere (living in Australia)

    My questions is:

Do I need overseas police check and AFP while submitting application for citizenship on 24th Oct 2016?

  8. unless you are abby and Brittany Hensel, then yes.

    what do you think?!!!

    Thanks :)

one more question, can i choose specific council or DIBP allocated council based on my address?

i'm asking this question because i'll move to new address around November 2016 but i'll lodge my application on october 2016.

  9. I just call immi bcz my ma is telling me wait again and again .....lady picked the call and she asked my trn number...she told me case officer is allready allocated on my file and if anything he needs then he will contact your ma .....but my immi account still shows application recieved ......i asked her in the end again that did case officer open my file she said yes ....

Congrats... you almost there. once CO allocated then he will get back to yoo/MA withing 7 days.

Let's hope they do not require any extra docs.

    All the best!

  10. Hi guys first timer here.. Does anyone know how I can check if my nomination has been approved.. I have immi set up and can check my visa status but when I try check/import nomination with TRN it won't let me ????

No you can’t see that only the employer or their migration can see and let you know the status.

  11. End this now mate. The other dude was right. Everyones situation is different.

I completely agree mate (Everyones situation is different).

I'm not arguing to anyone we all are here to help each other.

I’m still active in this forum even I my PR long ago (23rd Oct 2015)

  12. I have been on this and other forums for a good few years. In that time I have seen hundreds, maybe thousands of people get rejections with the loss of the fee and in many cases a ban from applying for a visa again. In pretty much every case, the person didn't know there was a problem - otherwise they would not have applied. In nearly every case, it could have been prevented by using a good agent. The Australian government passes literally thousands of amendments to immigration law every year. The immigration web site might publish 5. They work on the basis that it is the publics responsibility to seek professional advice and lack of knowledge of the law is of no interest.

Yes, I agree but 99% rejected for Nomination application. do you ever seen people get rejected their visa even nomination was granted?

  13. That well may be in your case. It may not be so in many other applicant's case. Not a good idea to paint a picture with one colour. Let's face it, if these things were easy to do, not a lot of migration agents would have been able to thrive in their business like they do. Not everyone's case is as straight forward. Not everyone is comfortable putting their own application together and submitting documents on time. Not everyone would like to hold their breath and wonder if what they did was/is right.

I am not trying to argue or steer the conversation in favour of migration agents. I am trying to contradict the statement that said "migration agents are useless" - they are not. I know first hand how useful they are or can be.

I don't understand the concept of "preparing documents" how can you prepare one's document? Don't you simply provide these to your agent? If you meant that you have to prepare letters and submissions, than unfortunately your migration agent isn't competent enough or you should demand your migration agent to prepare these for you. rest, you have to prove. For example, you provide your passport, you don't prepare it!

Your employer may be able to provide all documents but what if there is an enquiry? For example, if a case officer wants to know if there is a genuine need of the position being nominated, how is your employer going to tackle that? There are special provisions in the law that states what can be deemed as genuine and what can't. For that, you need someone who understand the term genuine needs to answer that query.

This is how an application decision is delayed. If proper documents are not provided at the time of the application, the case officer can come back asking for them or might seek further explanation which results in the delay. Once again, I am not saying all MAs are as competent, but that is when we need to be wise enough to select the one that we know will act in our best interest.

Kudos to you for being able to prepare your application, being able to submit documents and receiving a decision well within the time frame. Not everyone however, will be this competent and for them, there are specialists - Migration Agents.

I do understand mate for Nomination file is too complex and critical. That's why "migration agents are not useless"

I categorically said that for Nomination visa, check with your employer (account/admin) first, if they don’t wann a do then go with MA/migration lawyer instead doing your own .

However for visa application I’m still unable to understand what kind of difficulties we will face.

    1) We have to prove: Complete at least 5 years of secondary education at institutions in which all instruction was conducted in English OR we have to clear IELTS marks

    2) We have to submit our passport / address proof / ID / birth certificates etc..

3)We have to apply PCC/AFP (Character requirement)

    4) We have to prove: Health Declarations (Bupa)

Additional documents: incase CO requested additional documents which is form 80 again we have to fill our own even you go with MA he/she will ask you all the above documents and information's.
