Hi Vicky, From my experience the quickest way & simplest is with Emirates - Dublin -> Dubai - > Sydney All other routes will mostly have more stop overs in bigger hubs like heathrow , singapore , hong kong
  3. I just got off the plane the night before & had a few sociable's after that , so lets put it this way, I was a bit fragile the morning after - Turned out to be a great hangover cure
  4. An English Breakfast is a Tea, it is not an English Breakfast . I found out this the hard way when I ordered it , I was expecting an English breakfast but instead received a cup of coffee & a Cup of Tea & a very strange look from the waitress.
  5. Happy Days Kirsty, Let the packing begin, hopefully I'll hear something soon
  6. Happy Christmas Selina , great news & no 6am is not too early for champers
  7. I got contacted last month & finished uploading docs on 09/11/2015 - So playing the waiting game, I'll be happy to get it before Christmas, so fingers crossed that all is good
  8. Hi Sam I was in the same boat as yourself, then my agent told me about the PTE , got what I needed & a lot easier . you should find some posts regarding it all pretty good .
  9. Hi Folks, I was told by my agent that it was the 03/08 & 10/08 , Not really expecting it this month as I only got 60 points
  10. @steven106, They send you a link by email , Usually the morning after the exam.
  11. Hi PomCop, I am a native english speaker. I'm in the same boat like yourself, Need the extra points or wait a couple of years Yeah, I purchasd the Full Package , Two Test Exams & the Practice questions thats it mainly . I honestly think for us native speakers the biggest challenge is to familiarize yourself with the exam layout , Forget about the points needed . My first PTE exam I was stressed to bits about getting the points, Second exam I went in & just sat it , I new the format & just got myself comfortable & went at it . Have you booked it yet ?
  12. Yes, It's classed as "Superior English" as I needed the 20 points. Best advice I can give is to do the Practice exams & sample questions from https://ptepractice.com/ Once you familiarise yourself with the exam layout, I think it will make your job a lot easier. Practise writing essays - At least one or two a day Listening - Take Notes - keywords Speaking - Just try to explain everything on the screen , Highest & lowest values in the charts, Values in the tables Reading - be wary of the time, Read the paragraphs & then answer questions, Careful how many answers are required Other than that, just try your best
  13. Well Folks, Sat my second PTE exam last night and I got the results this morning R:90, S:90, L:87, W:81 Roll on the next step & I'm never speaking English again :arghh:
  14. @Martyfenwick Doing mine in Dublin, They have exams every Monday @5pm & yes I'm trying for superior english & that point is going to cost another 200 euro http://www.ces-schools.com/PTEAcademic I was actually very worrried about the listening but the secret i think is just take notes (keywords) & then mash them up into a sentence. The practice exams I did great in reading which is why I'm a bit surprised with that result Writing is my downfall, grammer to be precise - Can I improve in a week ?
  15. Well, just got my results , So close but yet so far L:90, S:90, R:78, W:77 We go again next week.
  16. I've got my test on Monday, Listening ( Summarising ) & Writing are worrying me a bit
