What I don't understand is I have the same email telling me quotas are almost full and yet click the occupation ceilings tab on http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/SkillSelect/SkillSelect.aspx and the occupation we are entering under is woefully under filled (GP).

GP here, 70 points currently working in Oz on a 457. I got the feeling it was across the board rather than an occupational limit.

Just been on the phone to Adelaide CO's about my early March application, was told there are no places left so may not get looked at again until July the 1st. Basically had a points issue that has been sorted but our application appears to have gone to the back of the queue.

Got contacted by CO who said my points were wrong (despite a friend submitting the exact same qualifications and having no problem), I'd still be eligible and they saw it wasn't intentional. Now my status has changed from Assessment in progress to Application received. I really hope it hasn't gone back to the end of the queue.

Hi all, new poster long time lurker. Anyway just thought I'd share our situation. Applied on the 8th March with 75 points, family of 5 currently on a 457. All docs, medicals and pcc's done, and not heard a peep as yet. No CO assigned, according to the 131881 number it hasn't been looked at yet. Getting nervous as points change next month due to a birthday. Any idea if points are based on time of application? Cheers all and good luck!
