If solicitors do not carry out conveyancing work, can you confirm who conducts such work in australia? In england conveyancing is a specialist field entered into after attaining a solicitors degree.

Should I be taking the IELTS before expressing my interest or after the application process has started? From what I understand, I express my interest and if Im accepted I can then go through the application process. Also if my visa is granted am I required to work in a specific job, Im trained in conveyancing but obviously I wouldnt be qualified to do that. Would I be allowed to work as a paralegal?

Ive already lived in sydney for a year on a working holiday visa (Im English), and Im looking at applying for a skilled visa (Solicitor). Ive been reading through the government immigration website and it seems Im eligible, but id love to be able to talk to someone about possible options and to make sure Im not going about it the wrong way. The visa Im looking at is a skilled independant visa (subclass 189) if anyone can offer any advice.
