Hello friends , on March 2018 , ships officer occupation has been included in Regional occupation list and is eligible for 187 visa ( employer sponsored visa ) . Does anyone know , 1. Will Amsa still provide skill assessment for ships officer category ? 2. Is it possible to use ships officer skill assessment to claim 5 point for partner skills in a 189/190 visa ? thanks

On my wife's dependant visa , a 8104 work limitation has been applied . from the DIBP website , it is mentioned that family members of student who are doing masters course can work unlimited hours .. can someone please help ,

was anyone able to obtain 15 points for the Bsc Nautical Science degree ( Bachelors ) awarded by IGNOU university , India / Mumbai University ? . I was awarded 3 qualifications ( Diploma , Advance Diploma and Bsc in Nautical Science ) by IGNOU Uni after we completed 2nd Mates COC from India . IGNOU is a reputed university which mostly conducts distance learning program .

I have been employed with the same company from 2008 ( from cadet time ) . the sea time is ( 18 months as cadet + 18 months as 3rd mate ) . Im attending the amsa orals on july 30 2015 . Will Amsa issue a new assessment letter if we increase our experience after the Cor orals ?

Dear sirs , How many months sailing is required to claim 5 points for 3 years overseas experience ? in my case . i have done 18 months as cadet + 18 months as 3rd officer with the same employer from 2008 to 2015 ( all on large ocean going ships ) . Do i stand to claim 5 points for my experience ? Thanks in advance !

Dear CaptainC , Thanks for the reply . Yes im planning to appear for Pearson test . Many people are not able to score 7 each for Ielts test in India . I know many people who are really good in all four sections , losing by 0.5 in any one of the module . Really dont know what is going on in IELTS tests . When i used to practice at home , i was scoring 8.5 in the listening tests , but when i got the test result it was 6.5 . really disappointed
