Our son managed to get through to Centrelink and a very good member of staff checked everything and confirmed that our son had been contacted Weds 8th at 10.30pm Melbourne time[emoji15][emoji15] ,, he was asleep!!, ( I assume that they were phoning from Perth hence the late hour) it was confirmed that our Aos is complete and a referral was set up to the Aos saying, contact had been made and they will call next week or just email about the next stage.
I never thought it would be this easy!!!

I phoned our son (Sponsor) and he logged into the centre link account and our Aos has also been completed. He has had no phone call for an interview so I will ask him to contact them. I’m assuming we also will get the call next week.
Bridgie
Sorry forgot to ask, which number did you ring?
Thanks

Wow that’s interesting we are a couple of days ahead of you and have heard nothing. I will warn our sponsor to be aware.
Thanks for your info and please let us know how you get on.

Hello all, I received a no caller ID phone call and my hunch it was the AOS folks. I logged into centrelink and says the AOS has been completed. But, I dont see any online request for bank guarantee and uploading further documents..? has anyone faced this before? Thank you
Sorry can’t help but you can help the rest of us. Any chance of giving us the date you submitted original paperwork and Aos application. It helps us all to see how we are moving along.
Ta muchly.

Hi Bridgie, We were nearly 4 months from invitation to Grant. The time goes very slow while you’re waiting for information at each stage. Hopefully you’ll here soon.
Thanks JBT, we’re pretty sanguine about it now

Hi,
A small update to show there is progress. We were asked today for some more information, so although progress is agonisingly slow we are still shuffling forward. No news on the AOS interview as yet. Looking at current time lines that window should be opening in about two weeks. Interestingly it is 4 years to the day since we received notification of our application .

Not heard anything from Centrelink after submitting AoS application on 29/11. I read in the forum that normally it take 10-12 weeks to hear from them further. Is there any way to speed up BG invite early ???
Trust me if there was we’d all be doing it. Enjoy Xmas you won’t be hearing until late January.- 1

Hi
I applied AOS on 26 oct with estimated date of completion on 7 nov . It still shows same date . Should I wait or visit centre link .
Looking at the current times of recent visa holders the period from submission of AOS papers and interview is about 2.5 months.

Daughter in law received a text message to say she would be receiving a phone call but as she was in a meeting she missed both text and call but they phoned again later that evening. It was more than 2 months after they lodged the Aos application.
Many thanks -
Our son is waiting for the AOS phone interview. He is concerned about when the call is likely to come through as he has a very busy work life and some times can’t answer his phone. Can someone who has received the call let me know the number so he can check his phone. I suspect there are many numbers they call from but it’s just another thought!!!
Any help would be appreciated.

bridge don’t pay any attention to that our AOS application was submitted on 14 August said it would be completed by 20 September,,it’s an automated response our AOS application was completed last Friday 1st November wating for arrival of letter to send the money so expect 10 plus weeks of more waiting
I kinda thought that. Our 600 visa runs out early August 2020, that’s the date I’m working on. Looking forward to the medical on Thursday especially the bit where you suck in your cheeks and blow out through your ears (something like that) last year we took the medical thinking our paperwork would be picked up.....anyways the suck and blow bit was my favourite as my wife couldn’t get it and ended up get very angry with me as I was laughing so much. The doctor we were examined by was more interested in car pool karaoke with James Corden than our exam.....it was surreal[emoji3][emoji3]- 2

Remember that the sponsor does not have to be the assurer ...
Best regards.
Thanks Alan,
You are of course correct, my apologies.

Hi, I'm expecting CO call during end of this month. There are lot of queries about AoS. I'm a bit worries of AoS process. Can you please write How to submit AoS documents? Which site to submit online application? Can we prepare anything in advance of CO call? From where we get application Form? etc etc many Questions come to my mind. Please share important website, form, important info etc for AoS. Thanks in advance!
Everything is sent to you on the email you will receive. It mentions that your sponsor can send the application on their MyGov account which our son did. As he had never claimed anything from centre link he had to visit to prove his identity and be given a CRN number. Centre link actually set the account up for him.
Once you open MyGov, you click on Centre link and I think claims and then AOS. There are four sections to complete and the only problem we had was not knowing which file number to insert...... it’s the one with BCC in front of it.
We chose to do it online because you can see any progress and it’s supposed to be faster..... we shall see.
Took a morning to do but that was because our son had to visit Centre link and he lives in Sydney and we are visiting Melbourne and both of us couldn’t log in to the same MyGov account at the same time. You are sent a phone code each time for security.
Obviously doing it that way I’m afraid I know nothing about the paper version.
We submitted on the 1st Nov and received a receipt saying our AOS would be completed Dec13th.......I’m not holding my breath.
Like others I’ll let you know how we go and if their are any hiccups that are avoidable[emoji106]

Spent a wonderful day with the Aos website MyGov....it’s so user friendly.....NOT.
However we finally got all the boxes ticked but we are still not sure about one thing.
the online page asks you to submit your “Visa applicant file reference number” and helpfully tells you that this information is on the Aos letter sent to you.
The letter gives you....an Application ID 1320*****4 and
A file number BCC2016/1****4
the second one won’t fit unless you trim off the BCC and the first number fits but is labelled an Application ID not a file reference number.
help
Anyone who has completed the application online, do you have the answer???
Oh and MyGov site has just crashed so you can’t get on,,,,,Give me strength or a red wine.

Many thanks Shelagh[emoji106] -
If and when we hear about our paperwork being picked up what email address is the email sent from. I want to set up an alert to stop me constantly checking my emails.
Anybody who has recently heard could you have a squint at your notification for me....ta muchly,
Bridgie -
Thought I’d give you an update in case you thought I’d heard from a case officer and disappeared into the sunset. No news I’m afraid my fellow 16ers. 44months and 15 days since application and we’ve heard Nada de nada. Onwards and upwards[emoji106]

Oh God, I can’t stand the pressure[emoji3][emoji3]. Rest assured as soon as I hear you will too. Working on current timeline requests for paperwork we should of heard 23rd August onwards, using the list provided from FOI we should hear mid September but...... that list, as we all agreed, was 143 only, so what about 173 etc.... I guess time will tell.

Replying to AMP I agree with you that this forum has been such a help in the long wait for request of docs. Like you, I was surprised that other European countries in our case Spain, came up with the police checks very quickly and cheaply, we are still ,like you, waiting for the UK one.
We go for our medicals next week, and hopefully after that we will just wait for the outcome. We are lucky, although we've waited nearly four years. For those still waiting keep looking at the forum, it's so helpful and makes you realise you're not on your own.
If the medical goes ok then the next step is looking for a removers from Spain to Australia, anyone able to recommend a company?
Here's hoping they start the requests for 2016 soon.
Hi Linda,
We used Movecorp and were very pleased with the service. They picked up from Alicante region and our goods were shipped from Southampton. They wouldn’t ship unless you had a visa.
From memory the only issue we had was the cubic metres we were given a quote on and then the price adjustment when the goods arrived in the yard. Fortunately I had taken photos of all the goods on a pallet and so they couldn’t really argue.
I naively thought our goods would go from Southampton straight to Melbourne docks. However I was able to track everything as it zigzagged it’s way down to Oz. The goods were all covered until they left customs and then we were informed we would have to pay to have them delivered locally ( we were naive again and didn’t ask before).
Communication between us and head office was excellent.- 1
