Me , my husband and 2 children, 6&4 will be arriving in the Gold Coast early to middle November time. I have been looking at rentals etc on the internet but would like some advice. How long will we have to book short term accommodation for until we can secure a rental that we like? We are looking at helensvale,arundel,ashmore suburbs anywhere that is nice to bring children up. Any ideas of nice accommodation? Or areas to live? We don't no anybody when we arrive and have never visited before!! Eeeeek! Thanks

Hi, we are heading to the Gold Coast beginning of November after are house sale has gone through,my husband is a carpenter. We was wondering is there much work in Gold Coast or Brisbane,also is it worth contacting people via the Internet for jobs before we get out there? Also how much is the going rate for carpenters? Is it worth sending out tools or selling and buying new?

Got our visa grant today, yayyyy!! Just to sell the house! We lodged April 13th and front loaded all documents.family of 4 heading to Gold Coast.

We lodged our visa,family of 4, on the 13th April,uploaded pc & medicals same day, we have an agent so she lodged for us. I contacted her last week as we haven't heard anything and she said it still says 3 months to be allocated a case officer so we just have to wait! Very frustrating though

Hi everyone we are new to this and submitted our visa 6th April,we are due to go for our medicals next Monday in Birmingham. My husband(carpenter)36 yrs, going on his trade on 189, myself(stay at home mum), 34, and our 2 children, Chloe 5 years and Corey 4 years. We are heading to Brisbane area,looking around redcliffe peninsula or manly area,anybody have any advice on these areas?
