  3. Grrr.... our dogs were supposed to be flying out to Sydney today with myself following tomorrow. We got news just over a week ago that one of the dogs had tested positive for leishmaniasis and that prevents her from entering Australia. Our shipping agent claims that it is probably a false positives and our vet assured us that she's not showing any signs of the disease. So another sample was sent to Singapore for testing last week and we're hoping to hear (good) news late this week or next Monday. All being well, the dogs will then leave the following day and I'm now rebooked to depart Hong Kong on 28th September. I really can't bear to contemplate another positive result. Fingers crossed!
  4. I'm sorry but there's no good news to be given here. As you are aware, HK Police will not process a CNCC until requested and Immigration will not request one until you lodge an application, have your CO assign and then that CO realises you need a HK CNCC. 'Luckily' for me, this process did not delay my application due to the processing freeze at the end of June.
  5. Are you sure about that? I've just paid for my two dogs and was charged $1707 per dog.
  6. Thanks adonjio! I guess the delays that everybody else faced didn't actually affect me due to the 4 week wait for a HK PCC after it was requested by my CO. However, I am so glad (yet feel bad for those, like you, that were held back until the new year) that I was able to get my grant along with those that applied at around the same time. I'm now on my last day of this recce trip to Australia and am more confused than ever about whether to move to Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide.
  7. Oooh.....just looking more closely at our grant and it states that we must not arrive after 7 July 2020! Is that a typo??????
  8. Same here! I rang (got through on the second attempt) this morning to check that they'd received our HK PCC and the lady confirmed that it had been received but not processed. She asked if I wouldn't mind remaining on the phone will she processed it. Well, with an offer like that it would have been rude to refuse, right? A minute or two of tapping on her keyboard, she statemeed "congratulations, I've issued your grant - you'll receive a email confirmation shortly". Literally a couple of minute later (after my wife, my cousin and I had a very tearful group hug) the email had arrived. Conveniently, I was staying with my cousin just outside Adelaide who just happened to have a bottle of Moet in the fridge that she'd received for her housewarming. Well, it was 09:20 and we popped that cork right there and then. We later drove into Adelaide to my other cousin's house to find my hire car sporting Aussie flags. Inside the house she'd decorated the dining area with a large aussie flag! She had kitted out the dining table with out in honour of our big day too. The table cloth was decorated with Aussie flags as were a couple of hats and pairs of sunglasses that were laying on the table. There was also a fly squatter, large jar of Vegemite and even a Vegemite chocolate bar!!! I've wanted this ever since my first visit over 31 years ago. Today my dream came true. Best wishes and good luck (and congratulations to those with grants already!) to all my fellow April applicants!!!!
  9. Indeed! I've brought a couple of nice Cuban cigars over with me to celebrate should I receive the golden email while I'm here!
  10. I gave Hong Kong Police a call earlier and they confirmed that our HK PCCs were sent to DIBP on 17th June. That process took 3 weeks although they state 4 weeks when you apply. I then rang GSM Adelaide, and they haven't yet received it. However, the lady did state that anything sent to them usually take 7 days to be processed. So I guess that with 4 days for delivery and 7 days for processing...I guess (that finally!) my squeaky bum time will start on Monday!!! Anyway, I'm off to Australia tonight on a stupidly timed flight to Cairns (arrives at 4:20am!!!) for my recce trip to decide whether we're moving to Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide (as well as to stock up on Cherry Ripes, of course!).
  11. So glad to hear that it's not just me that does that!
  12. That's unlikely. I don't see it being particularly well paid.
  13. Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane. I've spend so long trying to decide, I think I may just get a three-sided coin and toss for it!
  14. Massive congratulations to those receiving their grants!!!! I trust you are all celebrating accordingly!
  15. To answer your questions specifically: 1) they pointed out the following as the address to which they'll send the CNCC: GSM Adelaide, GPO Box 2399, Adelaide, SA, 5000. 2) Form 80 may be required but you won't know whether or not you need it until your CO has been in touch. However..... 1) How do you know that you've been allocated a CO from Adelaide before your CO has been in touch??? It is pretty pointless in having a HK PCC sent to them if they are not assessing your application. 2) Read jac2011's post immediately above yours regarding Form 80 So my advice would be .... 1) be patient, wait and follow the HK CNCC process as you are supposed to 2) complete and upload Form 80 asap
  16. My CO's been in touch! I received the email less than an hour ago. They are only requesting my PCCs. I have UK PCC ready to go but have had to wait for them to request a HK PCC before being able to able for it. Of course though, you have to submit your application to HK Police in person......and I've popped back to the UK for a few days.
  17. The tracker's now showing a direct grant being issued today for applicant lodged on 4th April!
  18. Hi adonjio! I'm hoping that COs will continue to be allocated and work on applications but stop when each reaches the grant stage. It is just a hope though as I'm not an expert or even moderately knowledgable about such matters. I guess we'll see in the next few days if/when the tracker's updated with further COs being allocated. However, given that one has been allocated for an applicant who applied just 3 days before us, I guess we'll be amongst the first to know! Good luck with your situation!!
  19. The tracker is now showing COs allocated today to two April applicants lodged on 2nd and 7th April!
  20. Many thanks to both of you for the quick replies! That really is bad news though!!!
  21. Which occupations are you both listed under? I'm an April applicant and obviously eager to know if this applies across the board or whether it is just that your occupational ceilings have been hit.
  22. Bad news from the March applicants thread: I do hope this is just for certain occupations hitting the ceiling!
