Hello Folks, I really appreciate if someone can shed some light on this.. I am in the process of applying for Australian PR and preparing my documents. I have lived in 2 different countries during last five years. For example I lived in UK for 2 years in a student visa while doing my masters' degree Similarly I lived in another country for 3 years while doing my bachelors Currently I am in my native country. Do I need to get police reports from all the countries I lived legally on a visa ? for example do I need a police report from UK for my 2 year stay ? If yes, how would I get it since I am no longer living there ? Thank you so much in advance - hope some of you may have gone through the same experience

I have been tying to connect with Australian IT recruiters and consulting companies and unfortunately I have not been very successful in that. I wanted to make some connections and know about up coming openings in my field ( DW/BI ). Someone told me that companies and recruiters will not care when inquiries and made from offshore. Anyone with some advice or similar experience ? Thank you

Hi Melze, Thank you so much for the response. Would you mind sharing bit details about your situation please... (1) Did you live more than 2 years and were eligible to apply for 5 year RRV ? Or lived less than 2 years and applied for 1 year RRV ? (2) What were the supporting documents you had to provide ? (3) Did you do it by your self or an attorney did it for ? thanks again

Hello members, I will have to apply for a RRV ( it would be a one year extension as I have lived less than 2 years in OZ) Question is, how early can I apply for a RRV ? For example, lets say my initial 5 years will expire six months from now (on July, 2015) Can I apply now ? or do I need to stay until I get closer ? like 60 days prior to the expiration data ? Thank you all in advance

Hello Members I received my PR under off-shore skilled category PR application got approved on 2012 February. I had to come to Australia before September 2012 to activate the PR. I came to Australia on August 2012 and stayed for few days Question is, when did my 5 years PR start ? Did it start from Feb 2012 or August 2012 ? Your response is highly appreciated Thanks!

Well that is true if you do not plan to travel in and out of OZ. Otherwise it is necessary to have a RRV - That is my thought...

I really appreciate your feedback, comments and suggestion on my matter Below is my situation. I became an Australian permanent resident in 2012 February and received a 5 year visa I have not lived in in AUS since then ( visited once for a week) I plan to move to Australia around August 2015 and start living I will not meet the 2 year requirement as I will be moving to Australia in August 2015 (after 3.5 years of getting PR) This means I will need to apply for Residents Return Visa between August 2015 and Feb 2017 ( before my initial 5 years expire ) I plan to rent an apartment, find a job and settle down once I move in August 2015. Question is, Will it be difficult to get a RRV if I apply from Australia after living there about 6 months to one year ? Thanks Kris
