Me and Hubby just got a 489 visa moving to Sunshine coast late 15 early 16. Going over to visit in May this year to take a look around. Leaving our 3 grown up sons behind so guess its a difficult one for us. Exciting times.

Hi We have just been granted our visa's to and we are required to live in sunshine coast postcode area too. We are visiting to validate our Visas in May and are looking around the Maroochydore area. Im the same Ceri, we just dont know where to start with it all. Any advice would be gratfully appreciated Exciting Times x

Hi Bob Thanks for your speedy response. I made an appointment with the vets today to get the jabs for Rabbies but she did mention that she wont be around to do the blood tests as she is leaving. She also mentioned that I need to check if they are ok to have the lepos jab as she wasn't sure if it is allowed in Australia. Could you please also let me know if they will need a passport? We have already contacted your company with regards to using them to ship the dogs over but I want to get as much as I can done this end as possible. Many Thanks

Hi We are hoping to move out inthe next 8/9months and will be taking our two tiny Yorkies. I want to start the Rabies vacs now to give us plenty of time to get covered. Can someone please advise if you can go to any vets to get this done or is it only specfied Vets? Many Thanks Lissyqq

Well thats it we had our 489 visas granted yesterday for Sunshine Coast Queensland. Wasn't expecting them so soon as the application only went in December 2014! Where do we start, theres so much to do. Is there any timeline document we could source to help us with the process? We have pets to ship, houses to sell, shipping to organise. Its all very scary. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi I am in the same boat we have 2 miniature yorkies to take over (we are in the final stage of Visa application) My two have never been apart and the company we are using have assured me that they can travel together. There is only one quarantine centre now (Melbourne) and I have just emailed them to ask if they are allowed to stay in the same kennel for the 10 days in there. Trouble with yorkies they don't like to be apart from their owners and definitely don't like change so its very worrying. I have googled the quarantine centre and the whole process of them relocating and it seems they do get over it and after a few days settle back to normal. I have received a few quotes from several different companies and its not cheap but like you say they're your babies. The good news is its only 10 days now so that will be easier for all

Hiya Just joined the site We are in (what I believe) the final stage of visa application. We have been given a case worker who has passed the documents and are currently waiting police checks and medicals (4 weeks to complete them). Can anyone advise me what happens once these have been received? How long after should we be expected to hear anything? We are applying on a 489 visa. TIA
