  1. hey wallse ! you're here on this forum too lol! i got my IELTS last friday and got 20 points for that, not i have the 60 i need for EOI. but i can't submit yet, still haven't got my EA skills assessment.. how was your process like? I submitted mine online on Dec 9, so today its the 7th week of waiting. my degree was accredited and I applied via washington pathway (i assume you did the same as well)
  2. Hi Ozmaniac, thanks for the response again.. ah it makes a lot more sense to me now. But i think you meant May 2020 and not May 2021 in your second paragraph, first sentence? if my 189 visa is granted in may 2015, it would be 5 years from then? I guess its safe to say then as long as you are in the country 2/5 years there will be absolutely no issue getting a RRV. I must have been mistaken then when i read somewhere that it is 3 out of 5 years.. one last question.. when i was a kid, i lived in Papua New Guinea for a few years because my parents were expats there.. I went to an international primary school there but didn't complete, I left in Grade 2 and went back to my home country. Honestly I don't even remember the dates and months I did school there so this kinda complicates my situation when filling out form 80.. i don't even know if i can retain records of when exactly i was in school. is this something crucial that I must declare under my education section? thanks again inadv.
  3. thanks for the reply! so lets say in my case.. the earliest date of my medicals and PCC is jan 2015 and i officially get my 189 grant in may 2015. this means: - i have until jan 2016 to make my first landing in australia? and when i make my first landing, they issue me with a 189 visa for 5 years from the date i first landed? say i make the first landing in jan 2016 and stay for only a few weeks.. i leave the country in feb 2016. i am still considered an australian PR for 5 years and can legally enter and leave australia as i wish? as long as i was in australia for 2 out of 5 years from the time the very first 189 visa was issued, then i wouldn't have any problems renewing the visa and getting a RRV. let me know if theres still something I'm missing. PS. I couldn't see my post on the thread which you were replying to.
  4. I don't believe this is correct.. you need to stay in Australia 3 out of 5 years if not your permanent residence will be revoked. Can someone please clarify or explain if I misunderstood something?
  5. Hi there, same here.. when did your documents arrive at the FBI? Right now they have a 16 week processing timeline.. mine arrived December 26th. Gonna be a very long wait till the end of april .
  6. Hi Claire, congrats on your invite and lodgement of the visa! Just wanted to ask what time did you receive the email with the invitation, was it like the opening thread poster who got it shortly after midnight Australian time? Also, another question.. it seems really easy for people to get invited for 189.. as long as you meet the 60 points is it pretty much inevitable? I just got my IELTS results back over the weekend and got the final 20 points I need, so I hope to make the next round of invitations in February.'TIA.
