  1. Same problem here - I saw 135111 (Chief Information Officer) in October but it's removed now. I even had to withdraw my application from SA so I could apply for NSW... Guess what. Even SA closed doors for my occupation... on the same day NSW published the new list.
  2. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Here is what I found for 263112 - Network Administrator. SA -Special Conditions Apply 29/8/14. IELTS 6.5 in each band. WA -Available, Schedule 2, limited number. Need a job offer. The special conditions and Schedule 2 state that the sponsorships are only available to onshore applicants with a job offer. Anyway, my degree is in Computer Management Information Systems so even if I reapply under those codes, I will still need 4 years of experience. Should have studied Computer Science, I guess.
  3. Is it worth trying to find a job offer from overseas? I have a BS from a college in the U.S., almost perfect IELTS (9.0, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5) and two years of official work experience, also in the U.S. More unofficially In addition, multiple certification from Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware.
  4. Hello everyone, I just received my assessment from the ACS and was taken aback by their assessment. Here is what they stated: You have been assessed as not meeting the requirements for professional information technology experience of four (4) years in a field closely related to your nominated skilled occupation. Your qualification has been assessed as not closely related to your nominated occupation. Your Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist from Microsoft completed August 2014 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Diploma with a major in computing. Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Management Information Systems from XXX College completed August 2012 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing. I thought that two years of work experience would be enough... Is it worth trying to appeal the outcome? I can also try to do assessment under other codes but is it really worth the hassle? 263111 is the only code that allows applying under 189 visa. Of course, there are state sponsorships but they all require having a job offer which is not so easy to obtain from abroad.
